Always my go to spot for lunch at the farmers market!
I got the large curry chicken meal and the rice was stale no flavor the pepper sauce was terrible I only got 3 baby pieces of chicken this was my first time trying this spot I do not recommend and I’m never going back especially if I paid $20 for the large and didn’t get what I paid for the cabbage tasted wrong it was days old tasted like just don’t go to this place I’m a Trinidadan and this is not authentic food.
Ordered from here via Door Dash for lunch. Only getting 1 star due to nice portion size and price. I ordered curry chicken and all I could taste was curry spice. No seasoning on the chicken and the cabbage was plain. The rice was okay but drowned by curry heat. It was spicy but unflavorful overall. Didn't finish it. There are other places that deliver spice with great seasoning.

My Dad and I came in last week (9/24) There appeared to be only one man working. Two customers were ahead of us waiting on their orders to go, which didn't seem to take the guy very long to do. The gentleman working there seemed very laid back and treated us well. My Dad and I both got the chicken jerk. It was a little spicy for my taste, but I can appreciate good cooking regardless. My Dad loved it. I'd go back. I most likely WILL return at some point. I'm giving this gentleman , the place, and food full stars ⭐ ?

I come here for ricky,
And I stay for the food!
Very casual environment. I always feel satisfied after eating here, as if my body is thanking me. The rice, callaloo, cabbage, plantains, and chickpeas compliment each other. What a nourishing meal. They have scotch bonnet sauce in case you like it spicy

Food was actually pretty good, I gave three stars because the portion size was extremely small. Their size medium is other Caribbean places size small and there was barely a scoop of rice in there for $25 a meal you expect to be full afterwards!

Disappointed i grew up on Jamaican food both parents from there and father is a chef so I’m used to this food very tired today and wanted to order a meal
Wish i just would of cooked myself for $16 i expect at least 2 full pieces of chicken not 1 drumstick cut up with another cut piece from a another drum so 1 & 1/3 of a drum cabbage not properly seasoned overall we didn’t like it and rice was like minute rice or something not normally used for rice a peas
Also my daughters plate a bunch of bones hidden by sauce..
Also the portion was for a lunch special a $16 lunch special

Love this place whether I get it at the farmers market or on Fulton Street. Always good fresh food. Plantains are my favorite. Great for vegetarian or a backsliding vegetarian who gets chicken now and then

Pretty disappointed. This is one of the only Caribbean restaurants in Albany that have decent reviews. Ordered a large oxtail, super excited. I’m not even sure it’s really oxtail. Although the food arrived quickly, hot, and fresh, the “oxtail” had little to no meat on each long skinny bone. I’ve been eating Caribbean food for 20+ years and have never had oxtail so lackluster. A few of the pieces of meat were also burnt.
Also, for $25+, they did not fill up the large container it was in. The food was sliding around in the empty space, instead of being stuffed like I’m used to from other places.
The stars I gave was for the freshness of the food and the speed of delivery but I’m really disappointed with the quality of the oxtai, especially considering how expensive the item is.

I usually get their food at the farmer’s market on Saturdays, but I was craving it today and ordered it through grubhub. Everything arrived quickly and was very warm, and tasted great. Grateful to have this place nearby !
