Just moved here from TX and this Meadry quickly became my favorite hangout spot and bar in Troy. The team that bartends throughout the week are just astounding and a+++ personalities. So kind and welcoming to us and newly transplanted Exans, trying to learn the ways of y’all Trojans. The variety and selection of mead is the best I have seen all in one spot that’s not a ren faire. The fact it’s in a downtown city still baffles me I’m a great way. They also have an equally impressive selection of ciders and you can purchase anything by the bottle or growlers. A must stop and drink if you’re in the city and area. Excited to go check out their farm outside the city too. 12 out of 10 stars.

Reliably the best mead I've ever had. You can tell how much work and love goes into it. This taproom is super chill and the staff are above and beyond friendly and knowledgeable. This is a secret gem in the heart of Troy and very much worth the visit!

My husband and I were so excited to find a mead spot in the area. The atmosphere was fantastic and the drinks were delicious. The servers were also amazing and made you feel at home. We will be back soon!

The bartender was awesome and friendly. The only downside was I was the only one there on a Thursday evening. I absolutely would and do recommend Helderburg Meadworks to everyone I meet. I definitely will be returning regularly.

Popped in while visiting and ordered a flight. The employee behind the bar was super knowledgeable, offering us a taste of the different varieties with explanations about their production and intricacies. We ended up buying a few bottles to bring home with us.
It's impossible to say enough good things about this place. I recently went to Helderberg while on an impromptu vacation with my girlfriend and it was a highlight of the trip. Everything at this place is on point. Then decor is fun and evocative, the music adds to the ambiance, the service couldn't have been better, and the mead was absolutely delicious! Eileen was our server when we visited, and rarely have we met someone of this caliber on our travels. She was knowledgeable, courteous, friendly, helpful, and in all ways a delight. She patiently took us through the multitude of offers at the meadery, and even took time to describe a few of their seasonal items that they didnt have at the moment. The mead was FANTASTIC. Easily some of the most delious I've ever had. The honey really comes through, and I recommend trying as many varieties as you can, as each is different and wonderful in its own way. Cider can be had as well, which was also great I can't recommend this place enough, if you are in the area it is a must see!

We got in on a slow weekday afternoon so we were able to get in a rare tasting (they don't normally do them at this location!). Every single mead was perfect and our expert Eileen was top notch. We bought 2 bottles!
