Tried the big breakfast sandwich and it was tasty! Got it with the waffle option and it was solid overall.

This is a PHENOMENAL place. The food I got called the Breakfast Bowl tasted amazing and was a brilliant combination of food (kale, broccoli, sweet potato, avocado, and two sunny side up eggs with an amazing sauce on top!), and my cold brew coffee was unique and delicious. I'll be honest, I helped make it unique because I wanted mine to have cashew milk and maple syrup in it which ended up being 👌🏻😩😩😩

It was just healthy and delicious and the place was cute.

Liza’s is wonderful! I’ve been twice (so far!). Once for breakfast with friends who highly recommended it and said they make it a point to come whenever they’re in Troy and most recently for lunch. The staff is very welcoming, knowledgeable about the menu, and happy to offer suggestions if you’re not sure what to choose from the many delicious options or if you have dietary restrictions. I’ve joined the folks who have made it their go to place to eat whenever they’re in the area. I highly recommend!

Always incredible smoothies and other goodies, this place is a gem! Find them at Saturday's Troy Farmers Market as well!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Stopped in for brunch with the girls and absolutely loved this dedicated gluten free café! Such a cute spot with a cozy, welcoming vibe. I had the Big Betty breakfast sandwich and a cold brew—both were amazing. As a celiac, I really appreciate places like this where I can eat safely and actually enjoy the food. We were just passing through town, but I wish I could come here every day! There need to be more spots like this everywhere.

Troy has top-tier gluten free / dairy free waffles thanks to Liza's!! The cashew lemon dressing on the strawberry rhubarb waffle special was so uniquely yummy. The chia raspberry waffle is also delicious and nutritious : )

We stopped at Liza’s of Troy for breakfast in Feb 2025 based on good reviews and appealing food pics. The order was taken at the register and then brought to our table. The food tasted great and was served quickly! All the dishes had a beautiful presentation! Coffee was a French press and was really good! The place had no cream or sugar for the coffee. Also there were no salt and pepper shakers on any table. When I asked for some salt they gave me a plastic sauce cap with some salt on the bottom to take it with my fingers. It was quite weird. For some reason "Butternut Squash Bowl" had only one egg while all other breakfast items had two. Not sure why this one was special. The real problem however was the smell. The very first impression we got upon entering was a strong smell of fried bacon and other foods. It was like standing next to a stove because the space is fully open, with no divider between the sitting area and the kitchen. In such a setup you need a strong hood exhaust but that in turn would make a lot of noise. Anyway, instead of taking our time enjoying the breakfast and great coffee we had to finish it asap and escape to prevent our jackets absorbing the smell :( We are giving Liza’s of Troy 4 stars is it got 5+ on the food and coffee and 3 on the interior and atmosphere. Food ordered Butternut Squash Bowl - excellent and nicely presented. Had to order additional egg though. Breakfast Bowl - excellent and nicely presented. Big Betty Breakfast Sandwich - delicious.

Delicious gluten free options, tasty, fresh and reasonably priced. We were a group of four, including two friends who only eat gluten free. Order and pay at the counter and they bring the food to you. Cute items for sale as well.

It’s a cute cafe the atmosphere is nice but the dirty iced chai with pumpkin spice was kinda awful and tasted like water. Plus I got charged $1 for oat milk. Spent $8 in total ?

Update: I did order the dirty chai, it was written on the top of the lid. I wish I took a picture to prove this, but thank you for responding.

This was a cute place to have a light breakfast. We had gotten the raspberry waffle dish and it was delicious. The waffle was flavorful and we had a tea with it which tied everything together. The atmosphere was nice and I believe that this is a hidden jem in downtown Troy. I will definitely come here again! ?

Parking is a little difficult if it's busy. The food is all gluten free, but it's healthier fancy food, not comfort food. It's decently priced, especially for a gluten free restaurant.

Dietary restrictions: A lot of the items come with nuts, seeds, or hemp. If you've got allergies to those things, you should make sure they can remove or substitute them.
