We love the snowman and travel from East Greenbush just for their ice cream so I decided to buy an ice cream pie for Thanksgiving. Sadly it was extremely disappointing. Almost no ice cream, thick frozen apples that never thawed out and very hard crunchy topping. It was a struggle to cut it and we let it sit out for at least 30 minutes. I’ve noticed a serious decline in the quality of the product. The raspberry sherbet now tastes like someone just dropped a couple of syrups in ice—nothing like it used to be when Mr. Baker served actual quality. Most recently, when ordering the strawberry lemonade, the micro straws aren’t cutting it. The strawberries get stuck, and it ruins the whole experience. I don’t get the great reviews for this place - I guess you could consider it great if you think Dairy Queen and Breyers/supermarket ice cream is amazing. The three flavors I had tasted too sweet or artificial — the same way generic supermarket ice cream taste. 😞
