Was meaning to write review on my last visit but totally forgot. Having read their reviews, I had to try it. So one weekend went to try their ice cream. The menu selection was so tempting, couldn’t decide which I wanted luckily they had sample option, where you get to pick 6 different flavors. Honestly, I was so proud of myself for picking this option. All 6 of them were so good but obviously it was quite a lot. It’s going to be more than enough for 2 people. Based on sample, I was able to pick my top 3. So, today went back again and got a pint of grave digger. Yummm!! Must try. Highly recommended.
Just a problem is parking. If on weekend, might struggle with parking, like I did😂

The Dutch Udder is the BEST ice cream shop in the Cap Region hands down. The ice cream is produced in small batches so flavor selections are always changing.*dont worry, there are 6 staples offered 24/7. Some flavor combo's are surprisingly stange, but work! Others, flat out home runs!! Pistachio and Bacon Burbon Butter Pecan are my two current favorites. Look forward to tasting new favorites. Owners and staff are incredibly hospitality.

The ice cream was truly delicious,especially homemade and full of flavor. The Dutch Chocolate was creamy and rich, The Cookies & Cream surprised me the most, though it’s not my favorite flavor, i ended up finishing a large portion. The taste of their Ice cream is truly irresistible... But disappointed with service. The person taking orders wasn’t friendly at all.

Went in tonight (Friday) line out the door, gone in a flash. Worth the wait (barely) . Staff worked so quickly and efficiently together and on top of all this the girls helped my family decide with samples and answering questions with a smile! The owners working along side with staff takes small business to another level! Great atmosphere,great staff& great ice cream. I will be telling everyone about this hidden gem!

Went here with my husband and our children and my friend and her children and as i was cashing out my husband saw a bucket of crayons/chalk on the table figuring the kids could draw on the wall but it was an honest innocent mistake on our part because apparently they were for drawing on the table. The owner comes out and just stares are us then the wall with his jaw dropped in complete disbelief, my husband says are those crayons not washable? The owner says so rudely “they are but why would they draw on the wall with them!!” My husband replies “we are so so sorry we didn’t know what they were for we figured they were to draw on the wall with them we apologize we will clean it up” I say “ well where are they supposed to be used on? He said “for them to draw on the table” then just stares at us with this insanely evil look and walks away. One of the workers came out and helped me clean it off of the wall but the way the owner approached us for an honest silly mistake, i will never ever support this small business or recommend it to anybody ever again. Yeah the ice cream is good if you want to pay an arm and a leg but not worth supporting an unwelcoming establishment. The people sitting next to us even noticed how disgustingly rude he was. If he were to approach us differently i would’ve completely been more understanding but sadly he made us feel so uncomfortable and unwelcomed. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND

This was a really cute ice cream shop in downtown Troy with really unique ice cream flavors. We really liked what we ordered. The Grasshopper was very minty. The Grave Digger had a really nice and strong coffee flavor. The Matcha Man was my favorite. No kidding around with the flavors. They were not delicate subtle flavors here.
Parking was a bit difficult. We had to park a few blocks away and walk to this place. There was a line to order but it moved quickly. We can tell that this is a popular spot for tourists and locals.

They did an excellent job making sure my kids with food allergies were safe. The owner and the staff were all great. They explained their process to make sure I understood how they avoid cross contamination. Excellent place, excellent customer service and even better ice cream!!! The DF/GF vanilla is AMAZING. Thank you for giving my kids the experience of going to an ice cream shop!
