Definitely a worthwhile place to try with great potential but our food had some misses. The jerk chicken was a bit dry and underseasoned, and the fried plantains had zero crispiness, but overall it was solid and the sauce/spinach/jolloff rice were great. The restaurant was going through a menu transition and dishes we came for weren’t available, though supposedly coming back in December. Staff was pleasant and the atmosphere was really clean/pretty.
Don't sleep on this place! Delicious options, lovely staff. Grateful for their addition to the Troy food landscape! Spinach is divine, and the best Jollof you're going to find around here!

Best chicken wings and Dibi (grilled lamb) that I’ve ever eaten. The juice the flavor the toast the seasoning omg 🤤🤤. I recently visit the restaurant and tried the food the taste brought me back to my home country. The place is clean the food tasty the owners are very nice welcoming. I 200% recommend this place.
My husband and I visited The Seasoning House while out for glow night and decided to check out this new spot, as it was previously a different restaurant. The space was clean, well-decorated, with good background music, and two TVs, one of which was set up more as a monitor.
Our waitress was welcoming and attentive, and the food came out quickly. We enjoyed the spring rolls, and the fried chicken had a smoky flavor—possibly from a fry-then-grill approach. However, the jerk chicken didn’t quite meet my spice expectations, and the jollof rice seemed a bit dry or possibly not as fresh as I'd hoped.
I’d love to give them another try, but with so many options in the area, it might be a while before I return. Wishing them all the best in establishing themselves in the community!

The wings with secret sauce and the chicken fusion bowl are a must try!
My partner and I stopped into the seasoning house for lunch. I had the salmon plate with a side of plantain and he had the tilapia plate. We started with the veggie spring rolls as an appetizer. Everything was delicious! We enjoyed each item from start to finish. I’d recommend this place for a hearty taste of the motherland.
