Couldn’t have asked for a better meal after a 50+ mile bike ride on the Adirondack River tail.
We vacationed in Tupper Lake for a few days and found ourselves at the Pine Grove twice for dinner. The first evening we were too beat to eat much, so ordered the soup daily special of Cream of Celery soup, and French Onion soup. The French Onion was very good, and the Cream of Celery was outstanding! The C of C at Pine Grove did not resemble the can of snot Campbell's Soup passes off as C of C. Pine Grove's soup looked appetizing, tasted wonderful, and I'd be tempted to drive another 7 hours to Tupper Lake to get it again!
We were very impressed with the entire experience. Restaurant was clean, staff was friendly, helpful, courteous, food was well prepared and delicious. We plan to return there soon.

What an amazing find while on a weekend get away to Tupper Lake. Everything is home made. The bread was amazing. I think my wife ordered half the menu....just kidding. We had an amazing meal. Everything was cooked exactly how we wanted it. The service is well above a 5 Star rating. So welcoming!!! See you again!!

The food was so-so. Do not get the French onion soup...lacked flavor and not much onion. Our main gripe.... my daughter can't eat stuff with milk, so the waitress told my daughter she can't eat this, she can't eat that, like my daughter couldn't decide for herself. Thank goodness we were just driving through, cause we would not go there again.

Food was excellent and you could tell home made. Had the shrimp plate and it was ok, but others had fish, hamburger steak and turkey was all good. Rolls home made and deserts were awesome! Had a younger server and she was still learning the ropes.

Spending the night in Tupper Lake, found this terrific restaurant, arrived just after opening at 4:30 PM. Get there early if you’re going because it fills up very quickly, it seemed to be the place with a local eat, which means it must be good and it was.Two waitresses only but they work the room like professionals always checking on the meal how things are. Home cooking and homemade desserts well worth checking out. Shown in the photos are the country fried steak and the homemade cheesecake with raspberry sauce

It's just a nice homey local restaurant, nothing too fancy, but I have never had a bad meal there. I need to go there more often.
Charming old joint with excellent service and food better than expected.
