great people and fantastic food! i have stayed at the hostel several times while touring on my bike. Nice break from camping!

Healthy food, fresh produce, organic and gluten free baked goods, kombucha on tap, $12 food buffet, hot chaga, and in summer they make their own ice cream. Seasonal live music and a reasonably priced air bnb upstairs.

High quality local organic food. The environment is a bit sketchy - plastic chairs etc. You are met at the door by a lovely little boy who shows you around and talks all about how cool everything is..... very fun. The food was very good.

Love the fresh vegetables and fruit. Great selections. Excellent meat selection. Love this place. I wish they were open all year long.

The food was spectacular and inexpensive. Very hearty food on the hot buffet. Cold buffet is basically a salad bar. The only short coming is a lack of drink variety. Live folk music and a 12$ buffet!

We went for the $10 buffet. We arrived at 5pm and I think most of the food was past it’s best - lots had dried out and many of the veggies were over cooked. Might be worth heading there at lunch.

Please check expiration dates on any food you buy here!I love supporting local businesses and local/organic products, but it seems no one is taking expired items off of the shelf. We bought yogurt that was expired and moldy and tonight ate tofu that we found out was 1.5 years expired. Somehow it didn't smell or look moldy so it's just a waiting game to see if we get sick. I saw honey and frozen foods that were also expired by a year.I want to recommend this store because it has a lot of potential but it's dangerous to sell food that is so expired

A good portion of their non produce items are widely expired. Me and my wife only noticed after getting food poisoning from tofu that expired in 2021 (we purchased it in July 2023)

Almost everything about the hub is excellent the food the service and the people the building is drab though

The hub was a staple as a trail worker in the summer. Coming off of a 10 day hitch where I are mostly pop tarts and chia seeds to inhale good home cooked food? Nothing like it.

I ate there one time in each summer of 2021 and 2022. My first impression in 2021 was how dirty it was and how the children of the owners were not using proper sanitary methods for a restaurant. The food was nothing special, but ok. I went back the next year because there are not many restaurants that stay open in Tupper Lake and it was just easier to go there from the motel next door. I, again, felt uneasy eating there with dishes uncovered and flies all over the place. The owner could easily address these problems. I am not sure she is even aware of proper restaurant sanitation and am wonder if the state ever stops by to inspect this place.

Stopped for a quick lunch and refill on snacks before hiking to the Mount Arab fire tower with a big group of homeschool kids. The weather and foliage were not-to-be-missed this late in October! We won’t have many more days like this. The kids enjoyed pasta and garden veggie marinara sauce and cinnamon buns. I had stuffed cabbage rolls and the most delicious gluten free vegan apple crisp. The cabbage rolls needed more salt which I’m glad it wasn’t the other way around and they actually had pink Himalayan sea salt in all their shakers non of that NaCl garbage- wow! We shopped their selection of gluten free and organic snacks and found exactly what we needed. The hike was awesome. We swung back by for Aqua Vitea brand kombucha on tap to rehydrate after. Two stops in one afternoon and we feel so lucky! This is such an amazing asset to our community. Thank you so much Food Hub!!Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options every time we have stopped by. Always lots of yummy soups and fully stocked ultra fresh salad bar.Kid-friendliness: Very relaxed atmosphere, super friendly staff and a huge back deck and yard for kids to run. A corner of the indoor dining room has coloring books, kids toys, board games, etc. There are almost always other homeschool kids doing school books, crafts, or doing 4H projects in the kitchen when we stop by. I highly recommend this as a family stop!Parking: Ample parking, it’s never even close to full.Wheelchair accessibility: The venue is a former restaurant and event center that hosted small weddings, high school prom, etc and it is fully accessible.Dietary restrictions: I have celiacs and can not eat any dairy and this place always has tons of meal options, soups, and delicious desserts to eat in or baked goods to take away.

Edit: Came back and they gave me a refund on the wood. Changed review from 1 star to 4.This place sold me wet firewood; they specifically said that the wood bundles from Leblanc had been dried and covered. I had a long conversation with them about the wood and now my dinner and camping was ruined.Edit: Business replied saying they don't know why I had trouble lighting a fire with this wood; it's pretty clear from my photos that it's because of the high moisture content in wood.
