Awesome! We loved all the trails for a nice easy day of walking and the Racquette River Roll. A must for adults and kids.
Friendly staff. Gary the Otter is a cutie.
Great museum, gorgeous walk paths and views. Be prepared to defend yourself from the bugs during summer.
Went on a rainy day and had a great time! Lots to see and do for little ones.
Awsome
Bugs your thing? check! The Wild Center has them, otters? check! got them too. Want to know more about geology, how we affect the beautiful world we live on, see a fish species that was alive when dinosaurs walked? yep, all that and much more. Very knowable staff. excellent presentations. I saw one with the otters and the one with the kestrel. Well worth your time. I was not able to walk the outside paths, however, the area is beautiful. and would be worth the walk. The gift shop has a wide variety of items to commemorate your visit. there is a snack are, where you can find a cold drink or a healthy soup or wrap. a coffee bar for the caffeine drinker in your life.
Nice museum and education center great views outdoors combi ed with indoor displays. Animal viewing area (just 4 birds in cages) was a disappointment.
We had a great time in spite of it being their last day of the season. They had a bus tour pre-scheduled... fulfilled their obligation and allowed us (as well as a few other guests) to orbit about indoors. And told us the outside trails & exhibits were still available to us.
To the staff; thank you and enjoy your off season time!
Highly recommended what a fabulous experience when visiting Tupper Lake NY
Very very good as a place to go with family.
An absolute must visit on any Adirondack vacation. We were there on a weekday in early October. Spectacular weather and no crowds. Part of the loop hike is the Musical Forest. My wife and I sat on a bench and listened to nature and the original music compositions for 20 minutes without seeing another person. Almost a spiritual experience

Lots of walking through the woods, nothing special, the same you can do on hiking trails. You can see only common raven and one falcon and one porcupine. If there is nothing else for you to do , you can come here. Will not come back.
Half the interaction displays don’t work. Look through the metal pipe to view Whiteface only to see interfering tree branches. Picnic area doesn’t have one level picnic table they are all on a slope Not worth the $
The lady at reception is so nice
We loved the Wild Center!
It’s really too bad when we went it rained. Dress weather appropriately.
It’s truly a creative, fun, and engaging learning environment and experience for all ages.
Explore both indoor and outdoor exhibits and experiences; highly interactive.
Many events offered: live animal feeds/petting; educational lectures; films, etc.
The main con is the food selection, besides that everything is great!
Have been going there for 3 years now. This year we have bought a membership because we will just keep going there.
Exciting and educational. Kids love to explore and learn hands on. New engaging exhibits were added this year and they were soo much fun. We mostly go in summer and fall, but last year’s winter trip was also unforgettable.
Each time we go we learn something new.
Indoor exhibits also engage kids and hands on learning. We drive for over an hour each way, but it is hands down worth it.
