Stopped here before a show they said us and it was 10 minutes before the waitress came to take her drink order so we placed our food order. It took 10 minutes just to get our drinks alone. Food was subpar waitress seemed to be preoccupied with something else wasn’t really all that busy. I could tell they were short staffed. I worked in food industry, long enough to know would probably not stop here again.

The host was very rude when we walked in. We arrived at 7:20pm, and it has been over an hour and have only received appetizers. Server is very nice and doing her best. There are so many empty tables, not sure what the issue is with the food taking so long. Do you guys slaughter your meat on site in back of the restaurant? It's taking so long, that i could have went home to eat and I have a 2.5 hour drive back. We watched the host disappear and the poor bus boy look for her like a lost puppy dog. Felt very bad for him, with his big eyes looking very confused. This employee of the month has dark hair and glasses, name started with an E, not sure though. When she was at her post she was on her cell just chilling. Im sure she was doing some sort of important Applebee's business. Maybe by the time im done writing this the food might arrive. Looks like the host just left for the night....maybe if my family were to go out and hunt squirrels in the parking lot we would eat dinner sooner.
Ps; finally got food, stake was a hocky puck, might take it to the next game to have it singed......

Hostess was very rude. There is a bunch of empty tables but they keep telling people 35 to 40 min wait for a table and saying it with such an attitude. Our server is very nice but we are definitely waiting ridiculous amount of time for how little people are in here. Also the hostess keeps wandering around sitting on her phone and not actually working.

I work up the road at Wolfspeed and we decided to set a to go order from this location. Unfortunately, we should have utilized one of the many, as accessible establishments that reside within 10 minutes of this location. I ordered 2 Carmel apple pecan dessert for myself and a coworker, my supervisor ordered chicken parmesan fettuccine. 1 of the desserts was supposed to have extra caramel and pecans, I paid extra and neither one contained any pecans at all. I saved mine to dissect with someone when they open because I'm sick of this service. Aside from the mistake to my order, my supervisor said his chicken was pink and under cooked. So you have undercooked, possibility sickness inducing food and flat-out robbery. Aside from the mistakes to all three orders, I waited an extra 15 minutes for orders that were reported as completed and ready by 8:20pm. I was left waiting until almost 8:40pm... whats worse is it was for some breadsticks. So you guy's can't cook the entree correctly, but spend extra time on the side?... With all that aside.. just the atmosphere brought out by the staff is sad and depressing. I walked in and knew based on the interaction w/ the guy doing the seating, I knew my order was effed. Servers and wait staff just wandering and unhelpful. I had 3 people ask what else I needed and only 1 seemed interested in helping. an older lady. The rest were passing cash around openly back and forth in front of me. Like right there, move my hand to scratch my nose and would've knocked buddies stack down. This isn't my first bad experience from this Applebees. This one specially, this is however my first review. After 4 attempts I say save your money, Bella Regina, Franco's, Big Jay's and a handful of other sit down restaurants are within 3 miles of this place, and all have offered a far better experience at the same or slightly increased cost. I'll pay the extra 5 bucks next time.
UPDATE::: 11/12/25........ The general manager reached out to me.His name is Rich.. A very nice gentleman that not only assured me that the staff concerns were being handled. But also reached out to extend an olive branch and gain a better understanding of what had happened. Very nice gentleman, seems extremely knowledgeable and caring about what he does. In all honesty, because of him reaching out, I may give them another chance.
We sat at the bar in north Utica, NY and the food, drinks, and service were excellent as always. It’s one of our favorite places to visit

Food was served cold after over an hour. Waitress didn't ask how it was til about halfway in, and we explained it was cold, but did not have time to wait for it to be remade. Management refused to comp drink/app/anything, stating that half the meal was eaten. We had other commitments, and could not stay long enough for them to get it right the second time. Have better customer service.
