Though it's not a stand-alone restaurant, it is a stand-alone mouth tandelizing food party. The chicken sandwich to the amazing burgers. We will always look forward to eating here when we visit Utica. So whether you're right next door or have to trek across the city of Utica, it's well worth it. I loved the new location and the menu had something for everyone in our party. We weren’t rushed and had time to enjoy each other’s company and were served our entrees timely. The desserts and espresso martinis were excellent! Jared made sure we were attended too and our waitress was superb! We thought the price point was good based on appetizers, drinks, and entrees for each person. I will absolutely be back and wish nothing but success in their new location!”

“My family and I loved this little place. Stopped by here on a whim traveling through town, and were pleasantly surprised. Subs, pizza and pasta were all great, and the staff was excellent, especially the front of the house. Inside was small, but clean. Only knock is no public restrooms, but I get why they wouldn't be open. Would definitely recommend this place!”

Husband enjoyed his Chicken Parmesan, Utica Greens were good (1st time eating them). My Chicken Salvatore was dry and hard. Not enough sauce to even try to soften it up to make the dish enjoyable. Way overcooked. I guess the green beans and mashed potatoes were good. Might go back to see if it was just a fluke. Might not.. who knows.”

“Amazing experience for September 16th in Utica on the roof perfect night to meet with friends and have a nice leisurely catch up dinner. I had the filet and 1/2 Caesar salad delicious. My friend had lobster bisque and 1/2 shrimp salad and loved it and other friend had full spring mix salad with chicken. Everyone very happy and we try to go a few times each season cozy in winter and perfect patio in spring and summer and fall.”

We had to get the White Truffle Garlic Bread...Delicious. I went with Spaghetti e Polpette (meatballs). Tasty thick house made spaghetti with a rich pomodoro. The veal meatballs were excellent. Great flavor and super tender. A simple dish that was one of the best I've had. I love Nostro for their focused dishes that don't have to throw the kitchen sink into them to be great. Try the Rigatoni Alla Panna side dish. Amazing! Pair that with their scrumptious Crispy Garlic Brussels Sprouts and your tastebuds will reach nirvana. We finished our meal with the Vanilla Meringue Cake which was fabulous. Just an A+ experience. Thanks Nostro! Wish we lived closer, but we will be back!”

“Was passing through and decided to stop here for lunch. The reviews saying it’s dirty are just…wrong. It was very clean, it’s a small establishment with hard working people who make excellent food. They do their best to make sure you are satisfied. I selected no side, and the gentleman went through to make sure there wasn’t anything else I wanted. He gave me an egg roll for no extra charge just to make sure I got a side. Very sweet people, the food was delicious. I ordered bourbon chicken with pork fried rice and got the pork egg roll. Absolutely would recommend.”

“Our original catering plan for a large backyard party fell through four days before the party, leaving us scrambling. We reached out to Utica BBQ and they saved the day! And the food was out of this world. Everyone was raving about it. The pulled pork and chicken were cooked to perfection and we really couldn’t have asked for a better spread! Reasonably priced, great service, and great food. 10/10 recommend them for any party! We’ll definitely be back for dinner!”

“My new favorite Starbucks. I live in Boston, where there are plenty of Starbucks but none like this one. The first thing that sets this Starbucks apart from others is the space and light. There are wall to wall windows and an open floor plan with plenty of seating. The bathroom is easily accessible and there is a sink out in the open between the two bathrooms, making it great for washing up. Service was fairly fast given the long line of cars at the drive thru but they had plenty of baristas to handle it. I’ve been to a lot of Starbucks and this is by far my favorite. The layout and full windows are unique.The location is convenient, right across from a hotel and in the up and coming Harbor Point are, close to restaurants, the Thruway and the Utica Auditorium. Most importantly, the drinks were on point. I will definitely be stopping by again when traveling to Utica.”

“Over the last year or so this place has been such a disappointment but we decided to try again this evening after staying away for a few months. I’m so glad we did. The staff was great and the order was perfect! The whole family loved their meal. I called to ask if they could label everything because the order was pretty large and there are a few of us with dairy allergies and I hate not knowing what’s inside a burrito and having to unwrap it. We think maybe they’ve had a staffing change or something because honestly we’ve never had a better Taco Bell experience anywhere (out of state or here in NY). Thank you guys for a great meal.”

“Wicked Sweets has been around for longer than most people realize I have been ordering cakes there for over a decade. I want to start by saying how affordable the prices are especially for what you're getting you will never get the quality and taste you get here for the price anywhere else! Alyssa makes some of the best desserts I have ever had she always makes new an inventive desserts to try I've got to enjoy so many new and different things I never would have tried before thanks to her. Her macaroons are unbelievable she has an amazing cupcake the San Fran cupcake which is a Nutella cupcake with have a strawberry in the middle with cannoli filling tops with whipped cream and other half of the strawberry. She takes personal orders for cakes as well she can make anything you can dream up, the first cake I got from her I requested an Oreo cake filled with cannoli filling and fresh raspberries topped with a whipped cream topping which is AMAZING. She also makes homemade cookies muffins and rice krispie treats. In their new location they not only have the wonderful bakery but Alyssa's sister does healthy protein shakes and snacks that are delicious and also now have ice cream available as well all in one stop you can't beat it.

Parking: They have a large parking lot which is solely for their building allowing you easy access to the bakery goodies the protein shakes and snacks as well as the ice cream

Kid-friendliness: You could not find a more kid friendly place if you tried everything there children will enjoy

I've added El Buen Gusto to my list of 1/2 dozen great Mexican spots between Rochester & Schenectady. El Buen Gusto has a lot of breakfast choices & in three visits there everything was excellent. Quick, friendly service & reasonable prices! A+”

“Visited Woodland Farm Brewery via Harvest Host. Great brewery with a wide selection of beer and plenty of food to choose from. Lots of room for your RV. Staff was friendly and very welcoming. Beer was great as was the stuffed pretzel we enjoyed. Dog friendly establishment with lots of outdoor and indoor seating available. Thank you for the beer, food, the treat you provided for our dog and the hospitality!”

The great-great-granddaughter was there and she gave me a very much history of this icon driving from Toronto driving by. I had to go try it. Lots of history. “I grew up in Utica but have since moved away for work. Over the years it's tough to see the family owned buissness you grew up with all slowly go under. Slice is such a breathe of fresh air. The pizza and wings are in my opinion the best in the city and I live in Boston. They rival the best pizza in Boston. Phenomenal food, not Phenomenal for Utica NY but Phenomenal anywhere. We need young people to start as many high quality buissneses in Utica as possible and Slice is the perfect representation of that.”

“The food was very tasty. They were understaffed and under trained. We had to wait to be seated while over 60% of the tables were empty. We were served drinks right away. Then we waited over 30 minutes for our breakfast order then another 5 for silverware. The staff was friendly and the cooks were trying. Our visit was on a Saturday around 11AM.”
