The event of about 30 family and dear friends was an astounding and resounding success. One word: Delicious! The presentation was wonderful. Two amazingly sweet women conversed with me and even recommended a delightful bakery across the street. I took a good while to stare at the menu as I don’t have much exposure to Dominican food and it was hard to narrow down what delicacy to choose. I ended up ordering the Pernil, the pescado frito, and beef empanadas. It was DIVINE! Each dish was cook to perfection and filled with so much flavor! I will definitely be back.”

“Everytime I come here I get amazing consistency in product I love love love the cannoli cookie it always is perfect snd soft and fluffy and the cookie is soft and delicious honestly the best cookie recipe I’ve ever had in my life. The cannoli part is always such a delight. The other morning somehow the ones I bought had a harder cookie than usual and the cannoli parts were very odd. Not fluffy, harder than usual to the point I almost went back for new ones but there were only a few in the case so I just sucked it up that day. Kind of tasted like it’s been in the fridge all night and was not fresh. I highly recommend any of their cannoli and cookie products , lemon/chocolate meatballs are amazing, almond cookies are to die for.”

“We stopped here on our way from Lake Ontario after camping there and OMG! This may have been the best Thai food I’ve ever had! They had the regular Thai fare but we tried these soups that we have never seen anywhere else before, at least not at a halal Thai place. We had the Thai boat noodle soup that was like pho and the Khao Soi that was Tom Yum but with noodles and steak. Our four-year-old is a picky eater and the waitress suggested the lo mein. He never eats by himself, especially at a restaurant when we usually have to feed him, but today he just dug in because it was so yummy! We literally licked our plates and the server must have thought we were from some other world because he licks plates in the US?! We do!

Regardless, we live in the Albany area and would totally drive 1.5 hrs to eat this again. The only improvement they can do is shampoo the carpets as they’re pretty rustic and don’t smell that good as I understand that it can be hard to replace the flooring for a small business. Hope this review helps up their ratings for more people to give them business.”

“I had read several reviews on Jamaican restaurants in Utica. THE name Simma was mentioned twice in comparison to the restaurant being reviewed. IT was recommended over the reviewed one!! I decided to try the place. My gf and I went during the week. She had the jerk chicken, I had the ccurry chicken . You get a dish with the main entree and a generous portion of seasoned rice and steamed cabbage. It was enough to warrant a to go container. She had fresh baked coconut pound cake made with coconut water or milk. I normally can't stand coconut, but the cake was flavored with just a hint of coconut. It was amazing! The owner a d hostess is a sweetheart and very proud of her cooking and the business. We talked as if we were old friends but had just met!! Ive been there 3 times so far. The interior is essentially concrete blocks painted green. I wouldn't go there trying to impress your date!! However, the food is quality and quantity above the competition! There are certain restaurants that you know and rank them in comparison to a new place; becoming your own reference point! So far, Simma is my reference!!! Good luck and God bless!!!”

“I can’t over-sell this place . it’s a short walk from the Delta Hotel. Everything that my 11yo and I tried was amazing, and the owner was so sweet and knowledgeable about food as medicine. The bubble tea was delicious however Im diabetic and there was no sugar free or substitute option. I shared the drink with my friend because of this.
