Great place to feel like you are back in time. Gerbers is an old pub in a building back from the 1800's. We sat at the bar and got a great history lesson about the bar from Mark the owner. Steve the bartender is great, very social and helpful with your drink selection We sat at the bar but ordered the fried bologna and long hots. The sandwich came out on a crispy toasted bread loaded with fried bologna and peppers...it was awesome! And the fries, nice and crispy!! What an awesome...read full review
Hidden gem of Utica. Speakeasy atmosphere is perfection, and there is often tasteful live music in the evenings. Great bar staff and the food is amazing. Would recommend to anyone visiting the city.

Took a chance on a stop through Utica while traveling. Mary the bartender was so friendly and welcoming, we had the Burger and Ruben with the Mac Salad, all delicious. Mark, the Proprietor came by to chat and told us the history of The Gerber, wish we lived closer than Chicago would definately make it our "local" pub.
