Great place to feel like you are back in time. Gerbers is an old pub in a building back from the 1800's. We sat at the bar and got a great history lesson about the bar from Mark the owner. Steve the bartender is great, very social and helpful with your drink selection We sat at the bar but ordered the fried bologna and long hots. The sandwich came out on a crispy toasted bread loaded with fried bologna and peppers...it was awesome! And the fries, nice and crispy!! What an awesome pub We decided to stay for dinner. Ordered 2 burgers, Lebanese platter and the Reuben!!!! Amazing!

Hidden gem of Utica. Speakeasy atmosphere is perfection, and there is often tasteful live music in the evenings. Great bar staff and the food is amazing. Would recommend to anyone visiting the city.

We did a late night visit and we didn't know it was a Halloween party that night. The owner was fantastic made us feel welcomed and found us a space to sit even though it was super busy. Staff was great and we we were able to grab late night food the meatballs were amazing. Thank you all!!

If you're looking for dinner and you like options you might want to pick somewhere else. Very limited menu!! It was good but wished we had more than 8 things to choose from.

Didn't eat here, but LOVED the service and atmosphere. Old school tavern that reminded me of what it would have been like in the Speakeasy days. No tvs to distract... everyone actually has to sit and communicate ?. The bartender was VERY professional and old school...didn't say much when I went but made one feel very comfortable being there and he was on top of everyone's needs. Looking forward to going there again.

My mom, my sister, my brother, his wife and daughter and my wife and I were looking for a good place for dinner last night and I suggested Gerber's. The last time that my wife and I had been there was pre-pandemic, so it had been awhile. The seven of use all had a great dinner and incredible service from Joe. Mark, the owner, was gracious and welcoming and his food was excellent. The reuben is excellent and the Rodeo burger, which a few of us at the table had, looked really, really good! It was a relaxing evening spent in this quaint, local landmark. Great atmosphere and excellent beer selection. We'll be back.

Took a chance on a stop through Utica while traveling. Mary the bartender was so friendly and welcoming, we had the Burger and Ruben with the Mac Salad, all delicious. Mark, the Proprietor came by to chat and told us the history of The Gerber, wish we lived closer than Chicago would definately make it our "local" pub.

Burger was killer. Service was fun and altogether helpful. Even though there are no French fries to go with the burger, it was still good enough to keep five stars. If there were fries, I'd give that elusive sixth star.

Went to Gerber's last night for dinner and was treated to a history lesson from the owner on the building's history and the immediate area. The bartender, Mary was very friendly and provided excellent service. Highly recommended

Your guaranteed good-time spot for drinks, live music, and great conversation. An intimate environment in a historic building brings together an ambiance of positivity and connectivity. Mary and Joe make the cake with their great personalities! 10/10 would recommend

Food disappointing. Had a burger, and the bun (which was toasted) was ice cold, which indicates it was toasted a while ago. Macaroni salad looked like it was sitting out a while before being served. I didn't eat it. Chicken tacos were cold and dry. Drinks good, but pricey. The history of the build is what brought us there.

We love it here; the antique atmosphere feels at home and the bartenders, especially Mary & Joe, are really skilled personable. Definitely a hidden gem in Utica!
