“The lo mein was amazing and the sushi was fresh! Everything was super tasty. The price is very affordable. Pretty cozy dining atmosphere. But the outside needs some work lol we were very skeptical when we arrived there because it was so dark. We literally were thinking like “should we go in?”. But I’m glad we did! Will definitely go back to check out more dishes.”

“Each week the menu changes and if you get ahold of it ahead of time you can order as soon as you walk in the door. On 2/22/24 I visited the Chowder House. The decor is very nice and fits the idea of the restaurant. I had 1 lb. Snow crab legs and so did my daughter. We really enjoyed them. They came with a side of pasta or potatoes, we both chose pasta. For dessert I chose the turtle cheesecake and my daughter chose a chocolate peppermint. The waitress and other staff were very polite and curteous. I would recommend the Chowder House to anyone who is looking for a nice, relaxing dinner.”

“This joint was recommended to me by a co-worker, and I'm not disappointed. By far the best upside down pizza I've had in the Utica area. Only slight complaint with the thickness of the crust. Despite the recent questionable reviews, I can see myself coming back for more.I will update this review if anything changes in later visits.”

“Great Chinese-American food. Typical prices. They get very busy so you sometimes end up waiting on busy days to get your food, just don't be early, not a big deal. Parking lot is a nightmare and you can't eat there anymore, those are the downfalls but the food is very good, maybe the best around.”

“Wonderful food and even nicer people. Spent a weekend in the Utica area and decided to stop here for lunch. We felt like we were having lunch with family. Everyone was so kind and friendly. Ended up ordering the lamb gyro and the salad with chicken shawarma. Both dishes were delicious and very fresh. The owner, Layla, offered us coffee that was rich and tasty. It is very difficult to replicate the kind of service you find here. We would not hesitate to come back again if we were in the area.”

“Lafa is always consistently delicious and I would recommend it to anyone! I love to make my own salad/grain bowl and load it up with my favorites. The fried chicken is the bomb, the bao buns are amazing, the gyoza is delicious, I could honestly list the entire menu it's all so good and they have the BEST fruit slushies and boba teas. The guys working are always super friendly and get the food out fast, hot and fresh. I seriously love Nanabi!”

“Heres the scoop, This is the best burger in Utica! Its a one man show and Jeff is fun the whole while he runs it.Its charm comes from.it being a 1 man operations and because he does it so well he earns a 5 star for being unique!I want to explain my 5 stars for atmosphere becasue it would be harder for you to find a smaller place however that again adds to the charm.I love this place!”

“Have frequented Motus on previous occasions as pre show place to have dinner. Reminds me of the NYC Midtown restaurants. I had the trout dinner which was one of the best fish dinners I've ever had. The broth fully complimented the trout. Highly recommend Motus.”

“Had another fabulous dining experience at Joeys. We brought another couple to try out the restaurant. We sampled many appetizers including the oysters (MUST GET, trust me), calamari, antipasto, Italian greens, fried provolone bruschetta. The only time our table stopped chatting lol is because the appetizers were that good.Our dinners came properly after our apps. My party ordered off the main menu and the special menu entrees. Again everything delicious. Such big portions we all had to go containers.Just a great dining experience. We can’t wait to go back. Thank you.”

“Our first time going here and it surely won't be our last. Four of us went and were seated quick. Waitress came right over and took our drink order and brought menus. We asked her questions about the dinner items and her suggestions were perfect. Service was great and the food tasted fantastic. Food was plentiful and we brought leftovers home. This restaurant is a must go to if you love great well prepared Mexican food. And for entertainment they have a robot food carrier, a first for me to see. We all really enjoyed our meals, which I also thought was extremely fair priced. We will definitely be back.”

“I stopped on a whim with my wife not realizing that this is a gluten free dairy free restaurant. When I realized that this was the case I was apprehensive because I am not on a restricted diet. So we ordered a panini and burger with fries and I was worried for no reason. The food was really good and well seasoned the fries were delicious and came with a dipping sauce. We have a few friends that will love to hear about this place. We also had a couple cupcakes which were very good also. I could tell the burger bun and cupcakes were gluten free but they were good tasting and I would not think twice about coming back again. If you have dietary restrictions this is a good place for you to try. If you don't, don't worry the food is good and you can support your family that needs this.”

“What a tremendous restaurant. We were staying in Clinton for the first time, and stumbled upon it. Just a fabulous meal, service, and ambience. Everything from the authentic sourdough bread, cider donut bread pudding was extremely memorable. We happen to be in there on St. Patrick's Day weekend, so while I don't think you'll be able to enjoy the corn beef on a regular basis, if it's any indication of the regular menu, it was stupendous. Not to mention the fact that the drinks were generous and we really appreciated the warm yet. Updated ambience. Kind of like, having a great babysitter, or Electrician. I hate to recommend Nola's too highly because I'm afraid we won't be able to just pop in next time. I would suggest reservations. Highly recommended.”

“This place serves the best food in town, and the owner is the most lovely person here. I visited a couple months ago on a long-distance bike trip with my partner, and we stumbled across Sazon Frank in Utica and it was, by far, the BEST meal we've had - the spicy stew chicken is delicious. “Stopped in here after a run on the canal trail. We had 2 pepperoni slices and hot wings. Both were excellent. Pizza is NY style with a perfect crust. Wings were crispy, hot, and well seasoned.”

“I had been to Nail Creek many times, but never had anything to eat. This time, I went for lunch and got the lunch special which was a hot dog with white beef chili on top alongside fries. It was absolutely delicious and I hope it's a special again next time I'm in. My friend got shrimp tacos and was equally satisfied with her choice. They have a great draft selection, with something for everyone, and service was great. The bartenders are super friendly. The place itself has an old charm to it while still seeming modern, is clean and well-maintained. I definitely want to go back for their brunch menu!”
