Coffee is on the weak side but still good. Food was really good and reasonably priced. I would come back.
Service was very friendly and efficient the food not so much ordered a veggie wrap and the mushrooms were so old they were tough and woody flavor. Told the waitress so they knew so they could check them out and was basically dismissed . I would hate to have anyone get sick.
Great people work here who like their jobs very please with there service everytime we come. They always accommodate our huge family. I love this place.
Great Food & Atmosphere
Love this place! Reasonable prices and great food!
The food is really good there. I have had several breakfasts and all have been really good.
Had a few lunches that are good. The onion soup was excellent, have had it several times.
Going back today to try the turkey dinner ?

If you have never been to Castlewood Cafe, now is the time! With higher prices and decreasing quality and every popular chain, Castlewood continues to offer their large menu, with same quality products! They have not changed that in this economy! My family chooses Castlewood over all the restaurants in this area! What’s more, the friendly smiles and excellent waiting staff! I strongly recommend this small mom and pop diner that has a menu to satisfy everyone, even the pickiest of eaters!
Breakfast: There are a couple of Southern-influenced items on the menu and plenty of super sweet breakfast confectionaries.
We had the turtle stuffed french toast (which was too sweet to finish, unfortunately), and the florentine benedict (which had eggs cooked through, rather than poached with a soft yolk). Both were good besides the small issues. They were nice enough to make the eggs with the english muffin on the side. I see that they're hiring for many positions, so perhaps this isn't the best measure of their capabilities.
The staff were all very nice, and the restaurant is comfortable.
We paid $32 for the french toast, eggs benedict, and two coffees.

We went there on July 3 right after my Father's funeral and the service was lousy. We got there and only a couple of tables were filled. We had to wait about 5 minutes for a table. The waitress was gabbing in the back until she realized there were customers. She seated us and then she seated people after us. They got served before us. When I asked the waitress who took our orders she said the waitress who seated us was not our waitress. We waited almost an hour to get our food. I realize if the place was busy then yes I'll wait but we were only one of 2 tables full. It was like they didn't want to serve us. Very bad service

Food was pretty good, little pricy compared to other breakfasts, the staff was nice and all family as it’s a family business but my booth was falling apart and ripped.

Hello, I made a reservation for 11:00am for Mothers Day for 4. I arrived on time and was told there were 5 reservations ahead of me and there would be approximately 15 - 20 minute wait. I said ok, and proceeded to wait 30 minutes while several different sized groups left the restaurant. I then went back in to check on my reservation and was then told they were still working through 10:30 reservations and they were also taking walk ins without reservations!!??!!Needless to say, this does not sit well with the customer who planned ahead, called and made a reservation and who has been already waiting 30 minutes past the reservation time and still was told I had reservations still ahead of me!!This is a horrible set up and practice and there seemingly was no real order to anything! It looked like it was hectic and chaotic, nothing was organized, even the gals who worked there were stressed to the max and yes it was very clearly seen. For me, this was not a pleasant experience!!
Had a wonderful Easter at Castlewood Despite the restaurant being super busy our waitress was pleasant accommodating and food was served fast and cooked well as always High Praise from myself and my guests thankyou
Classic diner, big menu, lots of seating. But kind of underwhelming. The service is awful. Have been multiple times and it is always soo slow and have to ask for refills on coffee. Their lasagna is amazing but other than that I would choose to go somewhere else especially if you’re on a time crunch. Takes forever to get your food. Plus the waiters are not even that good. Food is okay, service could use improvement.

Waited almost 20 minutes for a server to acknowledge us and get us a drink. Then waited over 45 minutes for our food. When we get our food everything was cold. Mind you during the wait the server didn’t check in on is not even once! …. Pathetic maybe they just didn’t like people with a bit of color on their skin!
