It's a great atmosphere. My go-to coffee shop. The owner and her staff are always super friendly.All the flavor syrups are homemade, not the high fructose pumps you'll get elsewhere. You can get delicious flavors you couldn't find elsewhere like maple bourbon and white chocolate raspberry.Comfy chairs and couches to relax.Highly recommend
Parking: Parallel parking on Genesee St or on the side streets within a block.
Stopped for takeout on six-hour drive; it was well worth the detour. The latte got a good review and my matcha latte was excellent and prepared with care.

If you're interested in quality coffee made with real care, this is the spot.While the default roast I got leaned to the light roast side, it wasn't extreme. Frankly I'm not really on board with the present day enthusiasts' extreme light roasts, but while it was close to the borderline for me (of acidity, less body, that comes with lighter roasts), it was still a great cup.Pleasant staff too. Overall, glad I pulled off I-90 to visit.

Character coffee is a little gem! I walked in right when it was opening and the barista greeted us with a smile and “what can I get for you?!”. She was so sweet and kind to everyone in there. Not to mention the drink I had (cappuccino) was delicious! The plants, honeycomb tiles, and beautiful decor is peaceful and makes you stop, look, and take it all in. Highly recommend, especially if you wanna start your day off with a smile ☺️?☕️
