Just went out to dinner and was informed that almost half the menu was unavailable. We also had to wait 40 minutes after placing our order to find out the kitchen was out of onion rings. The food is good enough but not for such a long wait for chicken tenders and a fried chicken sandwich. The only saving grace to this experience was our waitress MacKenzie who was doing her best given the circumstances. She also offered a nearby table with children colored pencils from her personal belongings so they could color on the children's menus. I used to love this place for the unique experience of an all gluten free cafe/bakery but each time I go there is just another thing that makes me less impressed.

I love City Cafe! The atmosphere is cozy, the staff is super friendly, and the food is always fresh and delicious. Their coffee is the best in town, and the pastries? Absolutely divine! A perfect spot to relax or catch up with friends. Highly recommend.

Seriously the best gluten free dairy free bakery treats in cny. We have gotten their baked treats to go three different times now and they have all been very good. Always moist and never gritty and dry. Every time we stop they have different seasonal offerings and service is always quick and friendly

Used to be one of my favorite places. Great food when I first had it. Wasn’t even crowded waited over an hour for food . Multiple people walking out canceling orders . Now to crowded with tables. Hopefully it gets better used to be a great spot!

I am so grateful that this is a dedicated gluten free restaurant. It's great having zero risk of cross contamination. I stopped here on my way back to Detroit from New Hampshire specifically because of the dedicated kitchen. The food was extremely good, but the service was slow and surprisingly, the restaurant was out of many items when we went. It seemed most of the staff's attention was on to-go orders vs. people who were physically dining in the restaurant. That being said, I'd still make time to go here again if I ever find myself in the area.

BEST GF BREAD!! Traveling through upstate NY we came across this 100% GF/DF restaurant and couldn’t be more glad we did! Hands down the best GF bread/bagels we’ve ever had (and we eat a lot of GF bread lol). Even if you’re not gluten free the food is fantastic and leaves you wondering “this can’t be gluten free?!”.

On our way out we grabbed a chocolate chip cookie which was soft yet chewy and filled with chocolate chips! The staff was super friendly and hard working.
I Highly recommend this cafe for anyone who likes good food! ?

Almost a two hour wait for terrible food. Baked goods were good, server was great and the place was nice but food was not worth it.

My daughter and I had dinner at City Cafe last evening and it was absolutely amazing! McKenzie, our server, couldn't have been kinder. Her service was spot on. We started with the brussels sprouts. They were so good we ordered another bowl. We both had the Black Berry/lime chicken dish, which blew us away. It was perfect. Being gluten intolerant, I didn't have to keep asking McKenzie what was safe to eat, which was an added bonus. The atmosphere is so quaint; not too big, not too small, and it is decorated so nicely. I can't wait to go back again. It is my new "go too" place to eat.

We ordered pick-up. The owners cousin cashed me out, and she was very nice and organized and good at organizing everyone in the back to prioritize orders etc. We chatted about celiac and allergies. It was quite busy on Saturday but still tables opening up. My daughter loves the pancakes, home fries were good, belgian waffles were delicious! Half moons- yum!
