This is the third time I gave them a chance, and I should have known better. The first order I placed for Christmas a year (cheese package) back and they “lost” my order and made me a new one with all blue cheese and no variety. No sorry or refund. The second order I placed this year was a custom order of halfmoon to be shipped to Texas for an event. Not only did they do the wrong frosting color but did NOT send the correct quantity. I emailed and called with no response or refund to help rectify the situation . Last week I placed an order for 2-12 packs of halfmoons, again to be shipped to Texas. They arrived in a set of 12 and 8. Like what? Direction must be hard to follow. I have called several times and left messages with no response or help. It seems as though the owner/ business lacks customer service skills and common respect in general, taking people’s money without feeling the need to fix their mistakes. As someone else said; I should have read the horrible reviews prior to trying again, seeing how they take your money for sub par service/ product. Such a shame.

Got a bagel it was hard, they apparently “don’t really put the cream cheese on” so I purchased one from the fridge it was a garlic variant don’t know if it was the cheese or the hard bagel but it was salty as a sandwich. Didn’t feel any positivity was ready to spend money but not in this place.

I was expecting, well, a bakery. They had the same boxed halfmoons that you find in major grocery stores. They aren't the quality that they used to be to begin with. Other than that, there was barely any other pastry choices. A few different cookies and famished l danishes. I'm glad I didn't go out of my way to visit the store.

They have not changed since I was a kid. Best fresh baked doughnuts and pastries anywhere. I have lived all over the US. None better. And local. I am now 74, back in the area and loving this place all over again.

Would not recommend for shipping. I moved to TX about a year ago and have been home sick for some CNY staples. I ordered half moon cookies through their website. The cookies are all individually wrapped in plastic and in cardboard boxes. They arrived in a hot, steamy bag with a melted ice pack. The frosting was all smeared off on the plastic and they were not safe to eat due to the temperature and buttercream. I’ve reached out multiple times - email, Facebook, phone - and have not gotten a response. I would not have paid a $29 shipping fee if their process was not adequate for their products and their customer service is non existent.

This is not the same half moon. It was when I grew up. It’s evidently clear that the bottoms are Dry and the frosting aren’t not the same taste nor consistency as they always were. As a Utica, staple the recent buyout of the brand lead me feeling disappointed it’s very obvious corners were cut in making this product.
