I need to remember to take a pic before I start eating, but I'll try to be descriptive enough that you can see and taste the food. This little gem, D'Hayes Catering flies below the radar unless you really look for them. I've only found them on Facebook, they're only open Thurs, Fri \u0026 Saturday (for limited hours) - but, if you don't order your dinner ahead, there is a good chance they will sell out! This week their special was Chuck Roast with garlic mashed potatoes and 2 sides. The walk home carrying this precious cargo seemed endless - and I only live 3 blocks away! The aroma was tantalizing and it proved out in the food. The roast was tender with very little fat just at one end, the garlic mashies had a generous helping of gravy and I ordered greens and red beans and rice as sides. I don't think I have ever had better chuck roast! The spices and flavors in the gravy were so good that I wanted to eat the whole serving which I can tell you would tax even a \"big\" eater. The greens were nicely sprinkled with pieces of ham and again, they were prepared perfectly w/spicing that made them just hot enough to make your mouth tingle, but not overwhelming. I honestly haven't tried the beans and rice yet, because I made 2 meals of the rest and was full both times. Oh, the corn muffin- it was so tender I had to eat it with a spoon 'cuz it fell apart when I tried to butter it, and it was just the right amount of sweet! Next time I'm going to ask for 2. They have standard lunch fare w. specials and other specials depending on the day. D'Hayes is a fusion of soul and just good home cooking w. a little gourmet thrown in. Try it, you won't be disappointed!

Great place to eat with a friendly staff. Went there today for breakfast. Saw a few people I know from the neighborhood and was able to carry on a conversation and actually hear the other person.

Food was terrific! My grandson said they were the best wings he had ever had, even better than Duffs in Buffalo! The Mac and cheese was perfection on a plate! Service was friendly, courteous and fast. The next time we are in NY we will be sure to try the Ox tail, I hear it is amazing!

The chicken and waffles are great. Couldn’t believe they put so much chicken on top. Everyone was very nice. The place was clean which is a huge plus in my book. I will be back with family and friends.
