At that time, I was craving chinese food because I haven’t had it in so long. It was a great experience, their menu was great and had a good selection, and reasonable prices. Tofu paired with vegetables is delicious, the brown sauce is great, and the vegetables blend well. Even on a hot Sunday evening, there were still a lot of people coming to pick up their orders which is a good sign. I strongly recommend this place! I browsed through the comments while savoring delicious food. This is the highest rated Chinese restaurant in the area, and it did not disappoint. The front desk staff are very helpful and friendly. The food is hot, fresh, and delicious. I don't know if this is a sitting restaurant, but I will sit there and eat based on my initial reaction with the staff.
Firstly, I must say that for anyone in this region, this store is definitely worth a visit. Due to work reasons, we have to go to the area every Wednesday. So far, Mayflower Chinese Restaurant is the most delicious Chinese food I have ever eaten in Utica
From their sour and sweet chicken to sesame chicken and coconut chicken, to shrimp rolls and pork dumpling, every dish is absolutely delicious! A perfect score of 10!
The employees here are also very outstanding. We speak highly of all our employees. They are kind, considerate, friendly, and humble. We are looking forward to dining again next time. If you haven't been here yet, then you really need to change your mind quickly! Here, you can taste the freshest, juicy, and most delicious chicken.
Thank you to the staff of Mayflower!
I am 100% sure this was the correct place (Mayflower Chinese restaurant). We have ordered from here many times before, and unfortunately, this time was very different. Instead of taking responsibility, you denied that the experience ever happened. That's not the way to treat loyal customers. I hope you will rise to the challenge and improve your communication and customer service in the future. This is the recipe for that day when I have to go somewhere else. Thanks
I had the Holiday Mei Fun. It has chicken, pork, shrimp, vegetables, eggs and rice noodles. I had steamed pork dumplings. I eat here a lot the food is very good.
Very disappointing experience after years of loyalty.
I can’t believe I’m writing a bad review for this place. We’ve been ordering from here twice a year for our kids’ birthdays, spending nearly a thousand dollars every year. We were always helped by a man who was friendly and professional — we never had any issues.
But on April 5th, 2025, a woman helped us, and the experience was completely different. She didn’t seem to understand our order, and instead of trying to work with us or clarify, she started yelling at us. Her attitude was rude and unprofessional, and it completely ruined the experience.
We were so upset that we didn’t place an order that day. Instead, we went to Grand Harmony and placed a large order there — as you can see from our receipt, we didn’t hold back. If she had just treated us with respect, the business would have kept a loyal customer. But because of her behavior, we’ve never gone back since.
So so so good
If and when i return to this area i would DEFINITELY go back
Only thing i wish they gave more rice with the lunch special
Medoicre at best.
Always delish!! Very pleasant! Our favorite place for takeout b
Typical Chinese take out, nothing fancy but just some good old Chinese food... The egg rolls we had were as expected and the perfect choice to hold us over. We'll be back for more and will report back then.

best place for chinese hands down
I ordered General Tzos chicken and crab rangoons , the breading on the chicken was thin ( which I find best so you aren't paying for breading ) and the chicken pieces were chunky ! The rangoons were also thin breading ( my favorite) and chunky. I drove and hour to come here and it was well worth it .
Parking: Plenty of parking

This was the first time I prefer from this restaurant, and I did it thru Door Dash as I am a truck driver. I’m a very picky eater, so my expectations weren’t very high when preserving.
Saying I was wrong would be an understatement. The food was excellent. I ordered Pepper Steak with Pork Fried Rice, and cuz I’m a picky eater I had asked to remover the peppers and onions from the Pepper Steak and the vegetables from the Pork Fried Rice. Again I was expecting veggies thru out my order.
Wrong again! No veggies in sight and I was elated! The Pepper Steak was the best I’ve had, and I’ve tried Chinese food in every of the Lower 48. The Wonton soup was delicious! Again, best I’ve had. I also ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken, but have not tried it yet. I expect great things from those little golden brown nuggies!
I highly recommend Mayflower Chinese restaurant! I’d give them more stars if it was possible! Great job guys and gals!
Sorry no photos of most of the food…it’s gone!
