Their fried dumplings are absolute perfection. Delicious. I’d come here just for these.

I have always been a big fan of the Mayflower since I find their food is about the best Chinese in the area. Up until today though. We ordered bourbon chicken which I have no idea how they stored it maybe it was frozen I don't know, but it's not edible. It is so dried out and hard but you can't even chew it. This was $14. 65 that went right in the garbage. Very sad about that. The second dish we ordered was sesame beef. I don't know what they used but it wasn't beef, matter of fact there was barely any meat in the pieces at all it was mostly just all breading. We took apart several pieces looking for the meat but we couldn't find any. This dish was $15.55 and half of it went in the trash as well. The girl was super nice, and the spring rolls were pretty good. But since this was the second time we've had an issue with our order and the last couple of months, it doesn't appear we'll be going back. Perhaps there's new owners or different chefs I don't know. And if there are I hope that they get back up to par because it really was a great Chinese restaurant at one time.

See photos and captions. Food was very oily, overcooked, and bland :(. Very friendly though! This place is only a takeout counter, not sure why they have a reservation button on Google. Also yes they are open for business until 830p.

Standard Americanized Chinese bit super good. I would recommend this place for a quick to go order.

Very upset with my order last night march 3rd. 2023.Ordered sweet n sour chicken pork fried rice with low main vegetable and egg drop soup. And shrimp egg roll .Now I went in and asked do I need to fill out a menu and she said she can take it for me instead so I say I want one egg drop soup 1pint . where she got wonton from is beyond me . everything was tasting like fish along with the burnt rice and egg roll soggy inside . The vegetable lo mein was disgusting they had onions in it and onions seem like they've been cooked for a few hours they were soft and slimy. I am very upset with the amount of money that I paid for this and maybe it had to do with that it was a half hour before they were closing I don't know but I will never pay $28 again for something that number one you did not get my order right I did not say wonton I said I want one pint of egg drop soup I don't do pasta with meat in it in a soup. And that everything tasted as if they haven't changed their Grease and over a week I couldn't go back as they were closed so this is why I'm leaving this with you and I was very disappointed last night my dinner that I ordered was not dinner for me. I highly doubt I will be going back to this place for a long time.

I've been a customer here for years, since they first opened. This is my favorite! The food is outstanding and reasonably priced. Portions are huge, it's always hot and fresh and ready quickly. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

ordered two meals and it was the worst $25 ever spent on food! no flavor at all in the rice or the egg rolls. The pork egg rolls had NO pork inside and everything was so bland we were beyond disappointed!! The sesame chicken was chewy and disgusting!! Never ever again!!

I would have given 5 stars but it says no delivery, and because of my circumstances I would need that.Today was my first time eating their food after a friend offered to pick me up something as they were going there anyway. I got the House Special Mei Fun and a pint of Egg Drop Soup (perfect for today’s weather). It was the best Chinese food I have had in awhile, and I’m picky about my Chinese food. The soup wasn’t too gelatinous like you sometimes get from other places, not too salty, more complex than I’m used to finding around here. The mei fun was perfectly cooked in terms of tenderness, the noodles weren’t all clumped together, there wasn’t a pool of anything at the bottom (usually sauce or oil), it was well seasoned but not too salty, the ingredients seemed fresh, the container was VERY full, etc.Again, my main reason for not giving 5 stars is the delivery aspect, but it was also only my 1st time ordering from here, so as I try to work my way through the menu I may decide to overlook the delivery aspect and change my rating.Really great meal though ?

Just tried Mayflower for the first time 2 days ago. What a surprise for a chinese restuarant in Utica NY. Their Wanton soup was fantastic with 10 meat filled Wantons. The egg rolls were crispy though a little greasy. The House Special Lo Mein was outstanding with generous amounts of chicken, beef, pork and small shrimp through out. This will be our new Chinese food place.

Definitely one of the best Chinese spots in the area. Always polite and the food is fast. Not to mention their sweet and sour chicken is superior.

This place is the best around. Hands down. I have double ordered from mayflower and good friend and mayflower always wins. I think it's just the husband and wife owner/operators and their child. Such nice people and great food. We need a GoFundMe to fix their sign!!!
