Steak was overcooked and gets smaller every time we visit. Seafood dish was bland. Took way too long for food to come out, maybe that's why the steak was overcooked. Barely saw the waiter. Been here numerous times and never had this kind of experience. Will try again because it has been great in the past.

Great atmosphere, varied menu, excellent food, relaxed atmosphere, great help. Chilled out cool place to gather with friends, eat and be treated very well.

Fantastic food, great service, and Sal and Melissa are spectacular hosts. Utica is renowned for its food. Chesterfield's Tavolo is at the top of the list! Always a wonderful dining experience!

What a wonderful experience tonight. We made reservations on our way back from Old Forge; not knowing what to expect. They greeted us and our waitress, Shauna, was pleasant and answered all of our questions about certain food items that we had heard about from friends. I have to say our meal was FABULOUS! Not only were the Greens the best I’ve had, the chicken parm and d”riggies were so very delicious and a great portion for the money. This is been the best meal and service we have had in a very long time Highly recommended!

The food was delicious and the service was great. The chicken parmigiana was enough for two. Served with pasta and warm garlic bread. Our waiter Mat gave us superior service.

Overall, it was a good experience. Unfortunately our server came and asked for our “starters” so we ordered a couple. We got the starters, finished them and never saw our server again. After quite a long time, i flagged him down across the room and asked if we could place our dinner order and he said, “I thought you did.” It took a while to get our food but food was very good. Quite loud and busy but we enjoyed everything we ordered.

We usually have great service when we dine at Tavolo. Our last experience was not the same. I asked for tartar sauce but was told they didn’t have any? I always get tartar sauce when I dine there? Our waitress never came back to fill my husband’s water? Sadly not the service we are used to.

The food is excellent; no other restaurant offers haddock balsamico, a wonderful dish. There were 3 of us, and we all had enough food for another meal. Alexis and the rest of the dining room staff were attentive, anticipating what we needed, didn't have to ask.

Haveing grown up in Utica, We have been fans of Chesterfields since their original restaurant. We rediscovered them when they had a location open in Oneida as Tuscan Oven. We've been to this location several times since they reopened as Tavolo's in Utica and always enjoy.

This was my first time at Tavolo and I was very pleased in every respect. The menu was imaginative; not the same old spaghetti and meatballs found in most Italian American restaurants.Service was equally good. I highly recommend it.

The ONLY restaurant we could find that was open on a Monday in the vicinity of Amsterdam NY. It is an hr away in Utica, but worth the drive. Easy to get to and parking in the back was a plus.

Reserved a table to surprise my husband for his birthday with family. Requested in my reservation to please not say how many were in the reservation so it doesn't ruin the surprise. When we get there I told the waitress my name and immediately she says how many the table was for. Unfortunately, at this point the surprise was ruined. I'm sure she didn't mean it however, they weren't busy and it shouldn't be difficult to read the reservation notes. We won't be back. We also got attitude when we asked for basic things needed such as menus. Again, they weren't busy but made us feel like we inconvenienced them by being there. Our waitress specifically was fine.

My eggplant was burned . Waitress took it back and the next one was burned . She didn't charge us for the eggplant although we were celebrating our 6th Anniversary. Very disappointed

What a great opportunity to savor Utica Greens ( fantastic) and delicious riggies. It's fun to explore new regional cuisine. My only question is why these haven't been picked up around the world. Our waitress was excellent and the staff made us feel welcomed.
