Great food, good man running the place. He gets creative with his burgers and they are always worth the adventure.
Great little place! The food had amazing flavor and great portions. The prices were very fair! Definitely recommend this place.

From out of town working nights, and seeing a picture of the Utica burger definitely got me through the night. When I came in first thing in the morning I was nervous lunch wouldn’t be served yet but Jeff said “if you want a burger you should be able to eat a burger”definitely did not disappoint one bit, best burger I’ve had. Thanks again Mr.Golden!

A well prepared, delicious breakfast. This place is a small diner but we really enjoyed stopping there. The omelets were so good, and I love a bit of toast with great bread and butter
Parking: There is street parking, which was a bit hard to find because there are businesses around.

Best food spot in town good food for a good price
Owner is the only staff and he is awesome! Highly recommend the bubble waffle, crepes, homemade sausage...heck, everything on the menu!!
Dietary restrictions: GF bubble waffle with maple syrup is the best! Get it with a side of sausage!

Great place, takes cards, homemade food, counter service, owner is super friendly. I don't believe they have a restroom, but I could be wrong. If I lived in Utica I'd be here everyday.

My wife and I were passing through on a long drive and decided to stay the night in Utica. The next morning, we were starving and in need of good, practical food. Somehow, assisted by Google, we selected Golden’s Diner. This was a fabulous experience for both of us. The restaurant itself is eclectic yet very functional. A majority of the seats consists of bar stools—as befitting a diner. The work area behind the counter is small, but chef/owner Jeff Golden has honed his craft and his tools and equipment to provide a wide array of delicious offerings. We both went with some breakfast standards, and were overly satisfied with all aspects of the experience. Jeff is a friendly, likable guy, and he is happy to share his story when things slow down, but he isn’t in your business about anything. If you appreciate great food in an interesting establishment with an incredible cook, do not miss this place!
Vegetarian options: My wife and I are not vegetarians, but while we were there and eating, two guys came in and asked the chef if he could do vegan. Yes, and we could tell they were very satisfied with their breakfasts.

If you are looking for a true diner experience in Utica, this is the place!! Highly recommend the Breakfast sandwich with egg and your choice of bacon or sausage! The bread is a mix between an English Muffin and a biscuit. I am not an English Muffin fan but this was excellent!!!

Heres the scoop, This is the best burger in Utica! Its a one man show and Jeff is fun the whole while he runs it.Its charm comes from.it being a 1 man operations and because he does it so well he earns a 5 star for being unique!I want to explain my 5 stars for atmosphere becasue it would be harder for you to find a smaller place however that again adds to the charm.I love this place!
