We were extremely pleased to hear the toasted marshmallow topping doesn’t contain gelatin, especially because it tastes much better than most store-bought marshmallows.“

“Cute little ice cream store in downtown Hastings-on-Hudson. Visited on July 4th just before closing. I tried the lavender truffle and the BF tried the dark chocolate coconut (vegan) - both very good. There were a few tables in a back room to sit at, a table and window benches up front and a couple of benches outside. The service was not great, but it was the end of a holiday day and I'm sure they were trying to get out of there to try to enjoy the rest of the evening.“

They made it so easy to set up via email and took care of 2 special requests we made. All our guests loved the ice cream and it was such a fun addition to our party. “Thrilled to find a shop serving ACTUAL gelato in Westchester. While their product can't compete with what you'd find in Rome, it is legitimately gelato and not ice cream masquerading as such - texture is dense and a little chewy, with very intense flavor. Pistachio and coffee were the winning flavors on our recent visit. Well worth a stop if you are in the area!“

And somehow this particular Carvel seems to make extra creamy soft-serve, even though I know that’s unlikely since I assume they’re following a standard recipe. Service is always friendly and helpful, and they have buy one get one free Sundaes on Wednesday!“

“They have amazing ice cream as always including flavors that you wouldn't typically get in your supermarket such as vegan chocolate fudge.I decided to try their brownies but they were not good. The Oreo brownie texture was brick like and was too sweet. On the other hand the chocolate fudge brownie had a cake like texture which again made it less enjoyable.Better stick with ice cream here.“

“Been coming here since I was a small child. At one point it was a weekly occurrence without question that my family was getting Carvel. Haven't gone for years after I moved away and my diet changed but now that I'm back in the area and they gave vegan friendly options is a done deal. I find myself swinging by on occasion, even if by myself, and/or order from Uber Eats to deliver to me while coming home from a long week at work.

Vegetarian options: All ice cream is or SHOULD be vegetarian, but now they have Oatly based vegan ice creams that are amazing. I've been dreaming of pistachio ice cream that was vegan friendly for decades because pistachio was a go-to as a child and now they have it

Their writing on cakes vary but generally turn out lovely. They honor coupons from the Carvel website and sometimes provide coupons. Our Fudgie the Whale came with a $3 off our next cake and discount on ice cream sandwiches. We'll definitely be back to this location!“
