Came for the delicious looking “salads” and they did not disappoint! Lush fresh flavours and and tasty combinations. BUT the mushroom pie was OUT OF THIS WORLD! We also had sausage and egg muffins, hot and tasty with a good hit of pepper in the sausage patty, very welcome on a cold April morning. Sam's Delicatessen provides a casual dining experience with its fresh and tasty salads, along with an exceptional mushroom pie that is described as "out of this world." The deli also offers delicious sausage and egg muffins, perfect for a chilly morning. Customers appreciate the unpretentious atmosphere and the wide selection of breakfast, sandwich, and dinner options, all at reasonable prices. The place is one of the old delis in the neighborhood, run by a Hispanic owner, who is appreciated by many customers. While some find the canzone to be mostly cheese with little pep or olives, others enjoy the variety and the NYC-style deli feel that has become a surprise in the heart of West Village. Prices are comparable to most places, and the selection continues to grow, making it a convenient spot for a quick, satisfying meal.
