I cannot begin to say how many times this place has disappointed me. The dishes are overpriced for what they are. While the sushi rolls are decent everything else on the menu is very hit or miss or just terribly prepared. The waiting staff seems very inexperienced and they make a lot of blunders. Which isn't a bad thing but it can ruin the experience, especially for the prices they're charging. One thing that was a big ick was with the food was that they literally gave me steak sauce with my Chicken Katsu dinner. That was just outright offensive for the dish I ordered. I know they recently lost a cheff but In the past 2 times I've been there in the past month the wait times in-between dishes has been too long to have an enjoyable experience. Every time I am dragged here I leave utterly depressed. Not a place I want to be spending my money at!

Went to celebrate a very special birthday. Had a reservation for 7 never received food until after 8. Restaurant needs to be kept cleaner. Such a disappointment for our celebration. I’ll not be going back anytime soon unless they show more attention to cleanliness and customer service.

Finally got to check out Kampai. Word to the wise, don't try to come here without a reservation. My husband I tried to come here once before and they were packed. Now that I have been it's easy to see why. I was easily able to make a reservation for a Saturday the Tuesday beforehand. I left a message on their voicemail requesting a reservation and they called me back within a few hours. They also called the night before to confirm. We showed up on time and were seated at the hibachi within five minutes. The service was stellar. The food was amazing. They have a pretty large menu with lots of options to choose from. It got busy in there quickly, which means it got loud. That is to be expected in a hibachi restaurant though. It's lively! Kampai gets five stars on every level from me. I look forward to returning.

I was a little disappointed with my experience. The drinks menu isn't updated and the drinks didn't match the description. The sushi came out kinda messy looking and unorganized. The food was a little too salty. Our waitress was also rushing us. We made a reservation for 6:30pm and they close at 9:30pm. The waitress kept on rushing us and didn't really answer our questions about the menu...

Every time we have ever been to this place, it has been great. But the few times we have made a reservation, they tell us it’s for 8:00pm. We show up and it turns into “oh I thought I said 8:30pm” this place overbooks especially for hibachi. So if you ever make a reservation, just know they will overbook it on a Saturday night. You will also sit at a table with people you don’t know because they overbook and the walk-ins they receive. By the time we showed up, more walk-ins had tables than reservations. You also see the chefs not get a break. They go from serving one table to the next. They preform a great show and great food, but this was the worst service ever been given at the place by the rest of the staff.

Always a wonderful time at Kampai. We often celebrate milestones here- this time we were here to celebrate our parents anniversary. Hibachi was fun and delicious, as usual!
