I got a meatball sub and my fiance got an assorted Italian. I was so relieved honestly at first to come back to New York after being in Texas and have a New York deli sub. I was so surprised at the butter station they have for toasting the bread. I can only imagine who has coughed on that, gotten hair on that, what bug has landed on that, or what spit is on that since it's not covered. Putting the butter on the sub or oil whatever it is, also did not help toast the bread. They put my several through once, but with the amount of butter and oil or whatever the bread topped up, my role was soggy and disgusting. You would have to put it through about four more times to actually toast the bread, the bread wasn't even brown like it wasn't toasted at all. The peppers or relish or whatever gets put on the Italian assorted is way too wet. My fiance sub was also a soggy mess, and he ended up taking almost all of them off and throwing them away. The kid who was making our sandwiches was polite and nice enough, But there's no way I would go back. Wegmans it is!

I wish there were more locations. This is the only place I get subs. The roast beef is cooked fresh every day. The rolls are cooked fresh every day. The tuna isn't dry. They have fresh baked cookies that are the size of your face. You have to get your roll buttered and toasted. It really makes the sandwich better.

In my opinion, Amiel’s is hands down the best sub shop in the Rochester area. I’ve had Dibella’s, I’ve had Wegmans, I’ve tried Mom and Pop Delis, Amiel’s Roast Beef sub is unmatched. Every single time it’s perfect and their bread is next level. I would go so far to say that it’s the best sub I’ve had in my life.

Amiel's has been my go to sub for decades. Sadly, today was a different experience.(Victor) My sub was more like a salad w/a side of HARD bread. The sub fell apart immediately, the cheese was more like a slimy processed cheese( I ordered ham & swiss) way to much mayo ( hence the fall apart issue) disappointing to say the least. ?Will rethink another visit.

I usually go to Firehouse Subs but decided to try this one instead. Great little shop with a nice diner atmosphere. Lots of sandwich options and mine was pretty tasty. Had a tuna on wheat w/ provolone and sweet peppers. Shop had lots of people coming and going on a Saturday, so it seems to be a favorite with the locals.
