I’m not gonna lie I usually don’t leave bad reviews and I actually enjoy eating here, well today was complete different. The hostess must not have heard us say we’d rather sit at a regular table than a hi top, try having 2 younger kids and sitting at a hi top doesn’t work so well, mind you our seats had food on them, French fries, salad, what not, to call the table bussed, or washed down was to say the least. The waiter who was completely useless, waited over 10 minutes to grab our drink order, when the bar was 10 feet away, so we walked to the bar instead and ordered our soda drinks. The server comes back without our soda order after being gone so a lengthy time, takes our meal order, with two of the dinners literally being Kraft Mac n cheese off the kids menu, comes back 45 minutes later with lukewarm meals, god awful boneless chicken wings with no dipping sauce, the beer battered fish was awful and the “dilemma” sandwich was dry. Our server walked past our table at least 4 times without checking on us (how our food was, if he could get anything else for us) you know the regular server questions! Slaps a bill at us, like I said I may never come back to this place again, management will not care about poorly written reviews. If I ever did my job this poorly I’d be standing in the unemployed line looking for another job! Great job champs on your horrible service.

First time eating here and we were super impressed, our server Chris was so nice. We got the sampler platter and every item, including the sauces that came with it, was fantastic and fresh. Highly recommend and can't wait to pass through the Rochester area again to come back here and try a handheld or burger!

Hadn’t been to a Champp’s in nearly 10 years but I was on a mission from the flavor gods: I needed a Buffalo chicken sandwich that used to be on the menu, you know, the sandwich that whispers to your soul and screams “I peaked in 2008.”
I asked for it like I was ordering off a secret FBI menu. The server gave me a look like, “This man has been through something.” Then they said the words I’ll never forget: “We can make that happen.”
Reader, they DID. Crispy. Spicy. Saucy. Beautiful. It wasn’t just food, it was therapy in a bun. I blacked out for three bites and woke up hugging the plate.
Champs, thank you for honoring nostalgia, fried chicken, and emotional support sandwiches. I’ll be back… probably tomorrow.
I rarely leave bad reviews, but my visit to Champps was frustrating from start to finish. The service was incredibly slow—even though the place wasn’t even closed to packed for a Friday night, it took nearly 20 minutes just to get drinks. When the food finally came out, it was bland and seemed like it had been sitting in the kitchen for a while. My wife's burger was somewhat decent because of the sauce, the fries were plain and unseasoned, and my daughters soup was dry and like mashed potatoes.
The atmosphere was chaotic in a bad way. TVs were on, but most of them weren't clear and hard to read or see. On top of that, our server barely checked on us and seemed more interested in chatting with the bar than doing their job.
Between the subpar food, poor service, and the disorganized vibe, I won’t be returning to Champps anytime soon. Plenty of better sports bars around—this one is all hype with no follow-through.
