Went over to the tavern to watch the Bills game. Staff was very good, good selection of beverages and a good menu.
I had a fried chicken sandwich and onion rings. There was one chicken finger on a huge bun. The coating was so slimy it slid off and the chicken finger ended up on my plate. It was so disgusting! My onion rings were burnt offerings I couldn't eat them. This plate of garbage was 17.50. The meat pizza was so soggy the toppings slid off there was nothing but a soggy crust dangling. I don't think this place deserves a one rating.
Food is outstanding. Bar tenders are well trained and love the happy hour. Wood fired pizzas are great. Drinks are large. Decor is modern and it has tons of sports on TVs that surround the place.
Stopped for lunch on a Saturday, not very busy. Service was good. The Mac and cheese and the pizza off the kids menu were well received, large portions. Both came with large order of fries which were very good and enjoyed by the whole table.Ordered the wings crispy, and they were excellent. The pretzels with queso cheese were also good
Great atmosphere, good food, a little pricey. Daily deals. Pretzel sticks were delicious and fresh. Would recommend
I ate dinner at City Tavern with a friend while on a lengthy bus trip to the East Coast. The food and service was exceptional! The next day when I realized I had left my credit card there, I called and arrangements were made to have it returned. This is customer service above and beyond!
I ate at this restaurant on the way to Cape Cod on a lengthy bus trip. The service was great and the food was excellent. The server was friendly and helpful and the place was clean with nice ambience. The next day at lunch in another state, I realized that I had left my credit card at City Tavern. I called and talked with Libby and Dan the manager, Dan and were very helpful and security-minded. I got my credit card back! This is customer service above and beyond!
Had a family group of 10 with baby, 2 toddlers, 2 teens. Good kids and adult menu made it great for everyone. Jordan served us and was spot on attentive and accommodating. Birthday sparkler ending was great!
Zero star due to service....actually lack thereof. The food was GOOD...we had a pizza. However, our waitress NEVER checked on us. Did not offer us another drink when she took out empties away. And when setting the bill down. "There is that". NEVER asked how our meal was or anything, NEVER offered another drink. WORST SERVICE EVER!
This is a fantastic establishment. The food was great, the service was great, the bar area has a very cool look !

Not impressed......We wandered in for a late lunch. Granted it was not the lunch hour, but there was only one other table seated... Not a good sign. What can I say? We ordered the bruschetta. Soggy and definitely under toasted. The margherita pizza lacked flavor, as did the onion rings. We ended up leaving a majority of the food on the table, not really satisfied. Our server was MIA until we paid the bill, then she was hovering cleaning tables right next to us (why were dirty if there were not customers????). My advice is to drive a little further and hit the NY Beer Project. I did. Got food to go and GLAD I did.
We usually visit NYBP when in Victor but decided to try something different. No surprise that it was easy to get in on a Saturday night. The restaurant has a very chain like feel about it. Food was OK. Fish tacos good, Buffalo chicken wrap poor and French dip and Club were decent. What ruined it completely was our server, J. No friendliness or personality. Acted like he did not want to be there. Took 10 minutes to get 2 glasses of wine and the another 10 to get the check. Part of going out to dinner (for $100 +) is service and atmosphere. Lacking here.
First time here. Nice looking place. Were seated right away. Waiter came immediately to take our drink order. The appetizer plates that came out were dirty. We weren't two bites into our appetizers when our meal came out (including my salad; it didnt come out separate). I ordered a Ribeye steak and it was a strip steak with a tail and bone in. I do a lot of Barbecuing and smoking and butcher my own meats so I know my cuts of meat. Before I'm even finished eating the waiter is picking up the plates and brought out the bill. I guess dessert was a no. When we go out to eat, we like to relax and enjoy our meal. This was a mad rush, like hurry up we need the table, so get out (btw, it wasn't busy). For $200 I could of saved $100 and went to Panera and rushed in and out just the same AND got a dessert LOL. When I just tipped the waiter at Olive Garden last week $50 for his exceptional service and great personality, I rather go back there.
My wife and I stopped in for dinner tonight and it was an excellent experience. Our server was incredibly friendly and helpful, as was the entire staff. The food was fantastic!!! We will be back soon, and will recommend this spot to others. Thank you!!!
Soup was good. French chicken was very salty. Our waiter Jordan started off giving good service but once we ordered waters and were sharing an entree due to our diet, we barely saw him. I guess he figured on a small check he would not get a big tip so he did not exert any extra effort. Never make assumptions. We usually tip 30% when we plate share.
