You’re about to walk into an old school pizza joint; the atmosphere, the people, the lingo. You can sit inside or out, and there’s plenty of parking when you pull up. The food you ask? We tried 4 different slices and it was all the best ingredients! Being from NyC and trying tons of pizza in Italy, I was pleasantly delighted with every bite. If you’re in the area, you must stop in. Warmed to perfection. Pretty decent prices. Pleasant staff. 10/10!
Hard to say, but this is the last good pizza joint in East Hampton and neighboring villages. Not too long ago, we had Astro in Amagansett (even after they moved down the block), Conca d'Oro in Sag Harbor (the BEST, RIP), and Fierro's (still there, but a shadow of its former self under new ownership--and that's even after it replaced The Brothers Four, which had moved there from around the corner where some Brunello Cucinneli is). Now, just La Capannina. Enjoy...
Going to La Capannina for many years...I'm happy they are here in Wainscott...Albeit I would travel miles for their excellent Pizza, and entrees. Friendly staff, wonderful pizza. Frankly anyone that would give this less then 5 stars should be banned from East Hampton.
