Levain Bakery – Wainscott, New York

We took a drive out east for a little day of recharge and stopped at Levain Bakery—what a treat! The shop smelled amazing and had such a cozy vibe. The sweet girl behind the counter really made our visit special. She chatted with us like we were old friends, packed our cookies so beautifully, and made us the best coffee to go with them. It’s rare to meet someone who genuinely loves what they do, and she made the whole experience even better. Between her warmth and those incredible cookies, this stop was the highlight of our day!!

This morning I drove 62 miles to visit this bakery and let me tell you, it's my second time there and I exceeded my expectations yet again. I had a great cup of coffee, a baguette with butter and jam and bought cookies for home, which was my primary reason for the visit. I want to specifically mention the service, I wish I had the young lady's name who helped me but SHE WAS AMAZING!!! It was such a great experience I wanted to make sure I left a review!!!

Levain cookies in Wainscot is my go to for the perfect chocolate guilty pleasure. The rocky road is my favorite. Unfortunately it’s only available in the Summer months. The Two Chocolate chip is so delicious. A special thank you to Maria for her outstanding customer service. Levain Cookies bake the best cookies in the Hamptons.

We've always loved the Wainscott Levain for easy access to these delicious cookies in the Hamptons! When I went fully vegan I was happy to discover that they have a vegan cookie. For my Ph.D. celebration dinner we ordered Levain cookies as favors for guests and the crew at Levain in Wainscott were very helpful with the order.

Best coffee and baked goods around

They have the most delicious bakery items that I have ever had. I’ve never eaten anything as tasty as their cookies. They are a meal. Very big and tasty

Worth the hype.

The two chocolate chip cookie was probably the best cookie I’ve ever eaten, it was just out of the oven, gooey, and everything you could want from a cookie. I had the butter/jam baguette as well, and it was phenomenal. The jam was extremely sweet and tasty, reminding me of jam I had while backpacking in Switzerland. The staff were amiable and the atmosphere was welcoming as well. Overall great experience, will definitely be back if in the area!

Placed an order on their website for pick up at Wainscott location. I called to let them know so would be late. They never received the order because they don’t have access so I was told I could come pick up an order but I’d have to pay again. What? How does this make sense? Then I was told to contact the number in my confirmation email to get my money back. The phone number in the email is for the Wainscott location! They did absolutely nothing for me. Their mistake yet wouldn’t rectify it nor would they fill my order even with a receipt that clearly says it’s from their location. I had to take care of it. This place has the worst customer service. I won’t waste my time. I’ll get tastier cookies elsewhere from someone who cares about their customers

This is a bakery where the bread is very delicious. This is a famous bakery in a small town on Long Island. It is said to be a branch of a bakery in New York City.
