Place has surely gone to hell in recent years, I used to be a regular but I won’t even order in there. They don’t have most of the stuff on the menu, the guy behind the counter is nasty and rude. It’s a shame to see a place that was once one of my favorites seem so run down and is certainly not respected by the employees. Save yourself the time and aggravation and go elsewhere seems everyone else is also. Last straw was when I went in during lunch and it was dead, and the man behind the counter was just a nasty intolerable person. I walked out. Sad to say I will never come back.

Years ago this was tops. Gyro would be cut off rostesarie Went there and threw presliced meat on grill. It didn't taste or look like gyro. Tasted it and threw in garbage. The most disgusting thing I ever tasted. 1 star is too much. AVOID and if you crave gyro go to Greek palace, Santorini in merrick and also arbys isn't bad. BUT AVOID THIS PLACE

Found a piece of plastic in my falafel. Ate my pita first and then discovered the plastic. Gross.Service was also terrible. Will never go back.
Went in. Waited a few minutes without being acknowledged, no big deal it’s a one man show. When it was my turn I asked for a few recommendations for three people as my mom and dad come to eat there before and pick up dinner. Totally got shooed away, no desire to give me any recommendation or any help ordering off their menu, just a complete 0 in any type of service. Buddy, you’re not doing me a favor cooking my food. I’m doing you a favor spending money there and keeping the place afloat. Your customers are number one, you sir treated me like a zero. Never walking back in again and neither are my parents.

Used to be good. Prices went from $6.95 to $8.25 to $15 for a Gyro or falafel. Absolutely insane. And it would be nice if the cook wore gloves, considering he’s also handling money from customers. I don’t expect to see this place open in six months.

I didn’t even get to the food. I never give 1 stars, but the service here was so atrocious, that I gave up and left. There was one older, grumpy guy who I guess is the cashier and cook. He was so rude and obnoxious that after 1 min. of trying to put in an order, I left blown away that anyone would deal with someone like this.

Had a great gyro, packed with meat and delicious.
Parking: Small lot, and tight, but usually spots are available.

One star is being generous. No stars are accurate. Used to be a good place but now a dump with no real gyro meat. Avoid . For real gyros go to Gyro Palace Sunrisechwy Merrick or Stantorini Merrick Ave.

A typical Middle Eastern food place, very casual. Has seating but I got the falafel pita to go. It was pretty typical, not amazing, not bad. Prices also about what you'd expect. Service was super fast but I also got there 20 minutes after they opened before the prime lunch time. A good option if you're in the area but not particularly worth a trip in my opinion.
Friendly, quick and mouth watering!
Vegetarian options: Abe's has delicious, authentic Mediterranean cuisine. It looks like a hole in the wall, but everything from the falafel to the babaganush, to the israeli salad is fresh and flavorful! Highly recommend!??
Quality went down hill.
