This location is by far the best one out of all the other locations. Food is always fresh, drinks are always made with love, service is always attentive and that alone is greatly appreciated. I went on a random Thursday and my son and I had a blast! There was live entertainment that we both really enjoyed.

We didn't eat. We just enjoyed a nice drink and the wonderful ghosts stories of the place by the waiter and manager. We had a wonderful time!

Margarita’s Café in Wantagh is SOO GOOD! I had the chicken enchiladas, and they were absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The restaurant has such great energy and an amazing ambiance—colorful, lively, and fun without being too loud. The staff was friendly and attentive, and you can tell everyone there enjoys what they do. It’s the kind of place that instantly puts you in a good mood. Whether you’re going for dinner with friends or just craving authentic Mexican food, this spot is a must-try. Can’t wait to go back and try more dishes (and maybe a margarita or two)!

Dinner here was good but chef needs to pay some more attention to detail. Shrimp for fajitas had tails on them when served and wife’s vegetarian dish had a beef item that was supposed to be beans. Table side Guac and spicy margarita was tasty. Service was attentive and place was decorated nicely in and outside for Halloween, nice touch.

Fun & festive spot! The food was delicious and the music was fun and a bit loud! We all enjoyed our meal. The guacamole was made table side and was fresh

I usually don’t post but I was upset about my experience at Margaritas Cafe in Wantagh today. I come here often because I LOVE the food, but today I went for their taco deal advertised online for taco day and was incredibly disappointed by how the situation was handled.

I been to Margarita’s Café many times and usually love it, but my experience at the Wantagh location on Taco Day was really disappointing. Online (see attached screenshot), they advertised Unlimited Tacos for $21.95 AND House Margaritas for $2.95, so that’s why we came. When we got there, we ordered the drinks but didn’t get the special menu. When we asked about the unlimited taco deal, the waitress told us we couldn’t combine the offers — something that was never mentioned online. (Quote: “Unlimited tacos for $21.95 AND house margaritas for $2.95,” which is misleading — it implies both deals are included with no restrictions or location limits.) I politely explained this was the reason we came, and she said she could instead charge us full price for the margaritas and give us the taco deal. We said we’d think about it, but she never came back. Also- had I been given the menu originally and saw that there was a restriction I may have changed my order. We waited over an hour before another person finally came by, and at that point, we just asked for the check because we had completely lost interest.

To top it off,I waited by the desk in the front to inquire about the taco menu to take a picture to send to a friend who wanted to come. A waiter ran over and rudely asked what I was doing. I said I just wanted to look at the special menu again, and he said they didn’t have one — until I mentioned the waitress had shown it to us, and then suddenly he pulled it out. It all felt really unprofessional and misleading.

Between the false advertising, poor communication, and inattentive service, this visit left a bad impression. It’s a shame because I’ve always enjoyed Margarita’s Café, but after this experience, I won’t be going back 😞

Racist staff - coming from a white person. Horrible service, owner was rude and lacked any accountability for him or his staff. Took 30 minutes to get a drink as every other table was served before us, even though they were sat after us. When our bill was charged incorrectly- mind you I wasn't even trying to ask for a refund or credit, just simply have it fixed. The rude waitress who had no courtesy or skills immediately got defensive and sent the owner over. The owner proceeded to accuse me of having too much to drink ( I was the designated driver and only had water). While the owner was speaking with me the two waitresses on duty stood behind him and were giving me threatening looks. I informed the owner of this and he again refused to acknowledge this. I would highly suggest avoiding this place - extremely unprofessional and terrible management and even worse service. Food is questionable, lacks flavor.

-update went back and was threatened by staff

I do not know what is going on with this place but the food keeps going down hill. I think last night was the last tile at least for awhile. The food quality is just horrible, it all started when the did there menu over.

Very noisy, hard to converse with people. Very dark and hard to read check. My bill was incorrect but I didn't notice it due to low lighting abd was overcharged.

This place is a hidden gem. I don’t know if all their restaurants are as good as the one in Wantagh but probably so. Food is amazing and drinks are beyond good. This place does it right when so many restaurants are cutting corners. Try the burrito mojado. Their restaurant In port Washington closed which is a shame. Highly suggest margaritas!!
