After being loyal customers for quite some time and ordering the same dozen raw clams every time, we were shocked by how we were treated on our last visit. One clam was clearly bad, and one has a strange unusual color and when we politely sent it back and even offered to pay for 1/2 dozen instead of dozen (because clearly after biting into a bad clam you just can’t eat anything else after) the manager Anthony came out yelling, holding the food in my friend’s face, trying to prove it wasn’t spoiled. Smelling the clam (she literally just spit back out because it was bad) , then trying to proof the discoloration is natural …. It was loud, embarrassing, and completely unprofessional. We get same order on raw clams every single time not once we had a bad clam or clam or a weird bright yellow color. As manager even if discoloration is natural occurrence you know you are serving food and presentation is everything. If you clearly see the color of one clam is VERY off due to discoloration - DONT put it on customers plate! How much that one clam possibly can cost you?! Just get rid of it or eat it yourself if you are so sure it’s “good”.
We were so embarrassed of his behavior we asked to wrap our entrees to go and left the restaurant.
Over one clam, they chose to treat us with zero respect and in doing so, they lost our business for good. Good food doesn’t excuse terrible customer service.

Shrimp scampi was ok but didn't hold up to the reviews I saw. It was very bland and the pasta was sitting in what looked like chicken broth. My husband said the ahi was very good.

Lobster tails for $51? Ok tried it...no taste. They must have been frozen and tasted like they were reheated. I was very disappointed as it was our anniversary. My husband had fried seafood. It tastes like the seafood was bought in stop&shop frozen food dept. Nothing was fresh seafood for sure if you like it. What a terrible dinner for a lot of money.

We've been coming to New Wave Seafood for years. My favorite item on the menu is the fried shrimp boat. The shrimp are crunchy and delicious and taste exactly the same every single time we come here and the tartar sauce great! Their Sangria is delicious as well. You can buy it by the glass or the picture. They have a full fresh, seafood store up front where you can purchase items to take home and cook yourself or even prepared meals. I always look forward to our lunches or dinners at New Wave Seafood

As the fish was fresh but dressing was too bland I’ve had a mango dressing before that had much more taste than the one I had here when I was asked how everything was as I was paying , I started to mention this and was rudely cut off as if I was totally unimportant. I don’t know if she was the owner, but she was extremely rude and then when she finished addressing another customer, I said as I was saying, and then she said oh but mango dressings are like this . I’ve worked in many restaurants and eaten in many expensive restaurants and they’ve had mango dressing which were way more flavorful then one you served. I’m sorry that you can’t take feedback . It was my second time to the restaurant. The first time I wasn’t impressed but thought I try again.as it’s close to where I live . Unfortunately was disappointed. I will never be returning . . Sangria had too much fruit & very little liquor for the price but good luck . Uncle Giuseppe‘s mango dressing taste better than yours

Fantastic service and perfect portions. 10/10 experience. New Wave came highly recommended by a fellow foodie friend and did not disappoint. We ordered Seafood Medley linguini with white sauce (comes hot or mild and with red sauce as an option too) and Sea Scallops with choice of two sides. Food was delicious and FRESH. We thoroughly enjoyed both dishes equally and left no crumbs. Can’t wait to be back for more!

The lobster tail was not stuffed and it was chewy. When the owner came by to ask how everything was - we told her our issue. Her answer: “that is impossible-the fish is always good” and walked away. No “ we’re sorry”. No “what can we do to make it better” NOTHING! I paid - I left. I will not come back. This was my 4th time going. Great the first time. Okay the second. Not happy the 3rd and the 4th time clinched it!! (And I never write reviews - but the owners attitude made me do it)

I have been here many times but last time back in April the service & food was horrible. Gave it another chance last night. Again the service & food was horrible. Told the owner about my food she told me it was impossible that it was bad !! I paid but will never go back! I suggest you don’t go either!

We live in lindenhurst but it is well worth the drive to eat here! Have eaten here numerous times over the years. Baked clams are absolutely delicious! In the past I have had the shrimp & pasta which is my one of my favorites but on our last visit I tried the crab cakes which was also delicious! My wife had the Asian Ahi Salad and she is still talking about it! Our waitress was extremely efficient. (Sorry I can't recall her name but she was great.) If you love seafood, you can't go wrong eating here. One of our favorite restaurants not only on Long Island but anywhere! LOVE IT! 5 STARS!
