Nassau county has a surprisingly low number of stellar seafood restaurants. New Wave is one of the standouts. Fresh fish cooked perfectly. And the market has really tasty takeout options.
The New England clam chowder was outrageous. The best I ever had. Lobster bisque and fried shrimp appetizer was good too. Seafood chili had so much seafood in it and was also very delicious. Loved the chocolate lava cake for dessert as well, and the whipped cream tasted freshly made.
The service could not have been better; the staff was so attentive, kind, helpful, and made the experience even nicer. Can't wait to go back again and try more dishes.

Great, fresh, seafood offered at a reasonable price.
I come here anytime I'm cooking a large seafood meal, and the fish is always super fresh. I also like how they'll shuck claims or oysters for you for a minimal price.
They also have a small restaurant attached to the market which features some great dishes. The lobster bisque and crab cake sandwiche are delicious.
