Best deli on Long Island, food, workers, a place to order your food and talk to friends while you wait. You need to know what’s going on in Wantagh stop in and listen to the customers talk as you wait, heartbeat of the town.

Tried out 3 local delis for their potato salad. Otto's came out on top. I don't know much about their other foods, but I'll be back purchasing pounds of their potato salad.
It's sliced thin, using a slicer, the potatoes soak up all the juices from the salad thus providing no dry spots in the taste. It's not pasty at all. Very hard to find authentic German style potato salad. The only other place which is under new management killed thier authentic recipe (Lake Grove deli out in Suffolk) caused me to drive around tasting different delis. Otto's is my new go too.

A few days ago, an Asian man made me food… The food was really bad... Inside the sandwich, the vegetables were wilted and the cheese was in pieces and the bacon was burnt and inedible. So I called and talked to them, but they didn't even say sorry and told me not to come back again if I didn't like the service. Never go to that deli.

Ottos has lost all the "old school" deli charm. They nickel and dime you for every ingredient. They have taken total advantage of "inflation". I understand there is inflation... then there is gouging... I've been a loyal customer for almost 20 years. The other day I got lunch for my family of 4. $80 for 4 sandwiches , 4 drinks, 4 chips and half gallon of milk. 2 years ago that was a
$40 ish bill. I had a reciept printed.. It was
$7.80 for the sandwich... then charged $2 for the hero bread! whats the sandwich? The cold cut? Itemized tomato... Itemize lettuce? Cheese was added extra. 2 bucks for the bread? Isnt that what makes a sandwich a sandwich. $2.59 for a small bag of chips. Charged for a credit card. I used to go to Ottos 3 or 4 times a week.. I love the food, and still do... but now I go once a month.. Ottos Im truly not interested in your reasons why... In 2 years you have gone up almost 100%. I know inflation is historical... But you have added on top of that...You took a hometown old school deli... and you got greedy. You will still make your profits .. Im only 1 customer. I knew when you took over how this would play out... There use to be a John Thiessen jug for donations.... you replaced it with a tip jar! That in itself sent a message. Milk us for more! Enjoy my $80 a month instead of my $500 a month. Shame on you.

Good basic food,or so I thought. I was told that I could order corned beef Ruben anytime. I went in. Asked for it, the kid had no idea how to make it, not one of you guys noticed! After 15 minutes watching the fiasco, I asked another guy to help him. So, he decided to make it himself. He probably thought he was doing me a favor by adding additional meat. Got home, the sandwich was a big soggy mess! Had to throw it out. I left a private message on your Facebook page, no response. Bad business.

Just went to get a sandwich and specifically asked the person to Please Please Please slice EVERYTHING SUPER THIN—-SHRED IT PLEASE! I could tell right away he wasn’t listening and didn’t write anything down—he gave me “PRE” sliced stale Swiss that was 1/8th of an inch thick! You could cut for a salad not a sandwich ! I had to throw it out. 2 out of last 3 sandwiches the bread was stale. I hope the “new” “old” Otto’s on Park Ave opens real soon!! ???

I ordered through Grubhub and they brought our order no issues and when I opened the sandwich it was completely wrong.I called and they would not do anything said go through Grubhub meanwhile they made the mistake not Grubhub. Really bad customer service. And just to be clear I can’t eat seeds and I got a completely seeded roll after stating plain roll. So they do not read the special notes or just don’t care.

My go-to deli on the South Shore! Delicious egg sandwiches and heroes, all made to order! Fantastic customer service too! If you prefer your sandwiches shredded, ask for Jeffrey!
