It's been roughly a decade since I was last at Thai Coconut and I need to give credit where credit is due. Three stars means it's a solid option.Thai Coconut is take-out only, no dine-in. It's probably for the best (let's just say there's no atmosphere to speak of). I was looking for some quick take out close by so I could walk in, get my food and eat prior to leaving for the airport. My dad and I have two standard Thai food orders: he orders the massamum curry and I order tau hu hor (bean curd skin dish which is rarely available at standard Thai restaurants). Dad loved his food. I liked mine (still think the sauce is slightly sweeter than I'd like). In fact, Thai Coconut's tau hu hor blows away that of the other Thai place we frequent.Nothing fancy here, just a solid takeout option and sometimes that's exactly what you're looking for.

Very good Thai food right here in Wantagh! The sesame chicken is so flavorful with marinated chicken and broccoli in a very tasty sauce, it’s my ‘go to’ lunch on Tuesdays! The whole office loves to order from their extensive menu.

Thai Coconut restaurant on Railroad Ave. In Wantagh used to be my favorite Thai restaurant. It appears that they have recently changed cooks...Bad news! Everything this 'new cook' makes tastes sweet, instead of the mix of sweet, sour, salty that I'd come to enjoy w/ Thai food in general. In addition, portion size seems to have significantly dropped. I no longer recommend, nor do I anticipate returning to this establishment.

Excellent.I had the Spicy Aromatic Beef with Thai rice. It was very spicy and flavorful. Meat was as tender and cooked well.

This our favorite Thai restaurant. We’ve been to many others and you can’t beat the food , taste and good size portions. It’s a small place with about 5 tables. They do a big take out business. My husband and I ate here in June and it was great as always. When we came back in September and went to sit the owner asked us if we wanted to change to take out. We said no thanks and left. I don’t know why they no longer serve dinner. We are so disappointed. It’s not a fancy place but we always got a good meal. They no longer offer delivery either I believe, Wonder if they don’t have enough help . The woman behind the counter does everything, answers phones , waiters and does the take out orders .

Very bland. But the worst was the service. I ordered the pick up and the lady was extremely rude as if she’s doing me a favor by taking my order. Then after taking the food and reaching my destination, I realized there was no utensils. I had to go back to get them. After arriving at the store she ignored me for a while. Then I asked her for utensils and she just left to go to the back. Came back to the front and continued ignoring me. I got agitated and asked her for utensils. She got irritated and handed them over. I asked for a spoon for the soup I ordered and she said they don’t have any?? How do you not have spoons but serve soup?? Isn’t that something essential you should mention when you run a takeout food service.
I hate every single one of you that gave this dirty hole in the wall a good score. What is wrong with the people? This taste like low quality microwaved wannabe made by Chinese Thai food. I seriously hate you people lol

Just picked up food last night and my chicken mango and 3 long black hair in them. Definitely not mine because I don't have long hair I called them up and the lady said sorry about that and hung up Disgusting and I will eat at this place again
