The bayside location is run by a very toxic manager named Kat. She is going to get this company sued for her behavior. She threatened me numerous times through the eight months I worked there. She uses fear mongering to “manage” employees. She has talked down to almost all my coworkers. There has been many times we did not receive breaks and work past our time with no gratitude shown. There is no respect and she gets away with highly illegal threats. If I took another sick day I would get fired (illegal). If I spoke to a coworker during down time, I would get fired. Threat after threat and I never called out and I deserved respect and appreciation, not a toxic work environment. Stella should be running the store, she is way more professional. I feel bad for all the friends I made there that were talked down to. In my 18 years of working, I have never met a worse person. It is truly sad to have been threatened on Christmas Eve. I gave my two weeks and tried to be professional, but her emotions got the best of her and she told me not to return. She has no control over her “pride” and they have given her way too much power in her position. She thinks she is untouchable. I hope one of the workers takes legal action. I do not have the energy to take this further.

not bad baked goods and decor for corp chain. not at the same HIGH level as their prices. weak drip coffee in a shrinkflation cup leaves a lot to be desired.

uneven service - 2 out of 3 either dull or a bit mean. 1 extremely nice/helpful person. small sample, but did break along age lines.

Wonderful coffee which I always get when I come here. I went in to buy a birthday cake. It's so hard to choose with the wonderful selection, especially if you like chocolate. Mike chocolate, dark chocolate, it doesn't matter, they have it all. Come try it, you'll love it. The place is clean, bright, friendly, with lots of tables if you want to stay and the bathroom is clean. You can also watch them make the cakes since the bakery part itself has windows. They also carry sandwiches, for both breakfast and lunch.

I came to get some mini cookies. They’re charged by the pound. The cookies are delicious, but they didn’t zero out the scale with an empty box. So I paid extra $$ for the weight of the box.

Please zero out the scale with an empty box before weighing cookies

Staff is alway kind and polite. There should be a more efficient system for ordering drinks. The line was very long and many of us only wanted drinks. Perhaps there should be a separate line for drink orders. The ordering process was a bit chaotic today.

Vegetarian options: I love the spinach and cheese puffs

Love me some French Workshop, I usually go to the Bayside location, this was my first time here in the Wantagh branch. They had the same product selection and quality, but the customer service is subpar in comparison. I don’t wanna generalize to the whole staff, but this one girl that served my order needs to go back to training or rethink her career options because she seemed so unhappy with her job and she was taking it out on my order and myself. To the white brunette girl with a low ponytail, frameless glasses, and braces serving the counter during late afternoon yesterday: it’s not my fault (or any customer’s) you don’t love what you do, please remember that next time you roll your eyes at them while they’re browsing through your products. There were no other customers waiting, so I’m still not sure why she was in such a rush to get us through the register line and get rid of us. After I picked each of my cakes, she would grab them from the fridge and slam them on the glass counter, then throw them in the box with the same carelessness. I felt like I was getting my order packed at an Amazon warehouse or UPS.

Anyway, nice place, great food, 1 unprofessional staff member. Hope you don’t mildly inconvenience her next, maybe then you will enjoy your stay (and your food in 1 piece).
