Great Monday's is the best day to be here not crowded and plenty of space to toss the football around.
It's now called the Gatsby...Great venue! Can't wait to see what they do next!
Great views and a nice cleaned up outside. They really made this place nice. I was there for the opening day and the menu was lacking. Minimal options. Perhaps that will change. I did not eat there. Just browsing. Otherwise I can see this being an exceptional place for a nice meal with friends while enjoying the scenery.
Newly renamed Gatsby, the restaurant has a great view of the ocean and the decor is the original art deco style. As of today, May 31st, there's a limited menu that looks great and is going to expand in about 2 weeks (as I was told). There's a bar inside where you can eat as well. There will be a covered bar outside too on the west side of the restaurant. There is live music from 6:30 to 9:30 on most or all fridays and Saturdays. I didn't eat there yet since we were just out for a walk but it's on the list of places to go to very soon.
They have a new owner.
Great food with a gorgeous view of the beach. Service was consistant and Chef Tim was great.
Needs a little bit more attention to detail possibly a better chef with a little bit more creative imagination
Made reservation with family for outside they screwed it up sat us inside. The inside looked like a giant high school cafeteria, appetizers came out cold. Food took an hour and a half to come out, seemed like the left hand didn't know what he right was doing!.. one meal was a hotdog for my kid, hour plus for a hotdog?? Didn't stay
The Landing at Jones beach. Finally a good place to stop while walking on the beach and enjoy the surf view. Inside or outside terrace dining. Service is a little slow but most importantly it is courteous and friendly staff. A very enjoyable time and meal. Fair prices for the quality of the food and the service. Bianca our server was great, very nice and always happy to assist you with questions or recommendations. Jones beach is known for cheap quality food at high prices. Never liked to eat at the beach except for a water and ice cream. Now I can go for a nice walk enjoy the weather and then stop in for a good meal at a fair price. Instead of the poor quality, high priced food stands if you can call it food. I highly recommend this place!
I loved this restaurant. The service was good, the food was delicious. The view was amazing. The reason for only 3 stars...the music was awful!!! I find it a bit difficult to eat while ZZ Top is playing and rather loudly.

Location is hard to beat, great views. Indoor option available, we took a look around and it looked nice but empty. Mind you, this was around 3pm. Outside has nice seating and a view of the west bathhouse if you wish. We had a dozen blue point oysters and 2 local ales. The cocktail sauce was delicious, freshly made for our order. Service was a bit on the slow side, but once they noticed us they were on point. The menu had offerings we really wanted to try, there are detailed descriptions of all dishes and they sounded mouth-watering. My wife and I will definitely come here again. While your there, say hi to Charlie the bartender, best Mets fan I ever met!
Food here is phenomenal but service could be slow. It is worth the trouble. The manager is hands on and a great person.
I wish I took a photo of their Edamame! It was spicy and delicious. Try their Mediterranean plate, perfect for picking. Everyone is friendly and hospitable here. Our server, she had black frame glasses, was so sweet. Thanks again for a refreshing visit guys! <3
Our waitress was so awesome! Super friendly and understanding but there was one absolutely terrible waitress who was so rude I was SHOCKED she even has a job there serving people. She has dark brown hair and glasses. Dont let her serve you because she will roll her eyes constantly and god forbid you take one chair from one of the tables by her or sit in one she will throw a fit. Absolutely RUINED the experience of the live show we saw Friday 8/25. Never again. Disgusting.
My dad wanted to try this place. Looked it up online. Said nothing about making a reservation being mandatory. Parked at field 4. Didn't know where it was on boardwalk. Went to a really nice new building thinking it was there. No, that wasn't it. It's the old building near the swimming pools. Got there & told the hostess I needed a table for five. She said if we didn't have reservations we couldn't be seated to eat, even though there were so many tables available. She said there was a concert going on & some events & it could get busy. Will not attempt to come here, even with a reservation. Advertise reservations only on your website or answer the phone when people call!
