Thom Thom is one of my favorite restaurants in my area. They serve many different type of sushi, seafood, and meats. I'm really great friends with the owner and sometimes it does get super crowded because it is a popular place! Make sure to make reservations because of this. The service of everyone is great they are all really hard working in the restaurant and bar and you can have great conversations with the servers. The ambiance of the place is a bit dark but it has a ton of seatings!

Consistently exceeds expectations. Always a pleasure to be there. Menu has something for everyone. Exquisite presentation. Dishes are well-conceived, ample, and flavorful. Upbeat ambiance. Spacious, comfortable and classic decor. This restaurant is a winner, you will always want to go back!

Food is always good. Be prepared to wait, however. Favorites include the ribeye, paella, scallops and the Chilean Sea Bass is the best. Cocktails are on point. It's a fav spot for date night.

Went there with some friends. Nice atmosphere, nothing special but nice. The food though was not good. We had the appetizer sampler. The Bang Bang Shrimp was good (shrimp was small but tasty), Calamari rings had a nice flavor to them, the Meatball was ok (medium size and soft) and the potstickers were good. Also the naan bread was good. We did ask for more bread 2x and finally got it nearly 20 mins later. I had one of the specials, petite filet mignon and lobster tail ($43). The meat was a very small piece (less than 5 oz) and not cooked properly (asked for medium, came out less than medium rare). The lobster tail was small but fine, nothing special. My wife had a petite filet as well. Her piece was even smaller than mine and was nearly raw (she order medium well). I asked for it to be put back on and received an entirely new piece of meat, now very well done and shoe leather like. Drinks were ok, a bit pricey at $18. Overall, I've had better meals at chain restaurants (Outback, Longhorn).

They decided to have my 1yr old Daughters high chair at the table closet to the front door with below freezing temperatures winds blowing in her face. They knew in advance about the high hair since it was requested on OpenTable and I called to confirm. The meatball on the sampler was mush and should not be considered a meatball. Horrible. The sushi was horrible and my wife didn’t eat it since it was completely smothered in sauce. The Chilean sea bass was great with the risotto. We also had to go through this with a crowd of people up against our table watching us the entire time since they are all waiting for a table. Not worth the money and was very disappointed. I had high hopes for this place.

Food and service were excellent. The room and decor is a little bit outdated, but I wasn't there to do interior design. So, we will definitely be back b/c the food and service were so good.

We were 15 minutes early when my party arrived, so I figured there might be a small wait. The young lady at the check-in podium was engaged with a party before us. She took an extraordinarily long time to address my party after she seated the party before us which later appeared to be friends of hers. She then begins to seat other parties waiting in the bar area without asking my name or reservation time. After about 5 very uncomfortable uncomfortable minutes a very energetic older lady came out to assist us after realizing that we had been standing at the entrance for some time. Even when the older lady inquired about our party the younger lady did not attend to us. I fel very uncomfortable about spending my hard-earned money in this place as this was my first experience there however we stayed because of the reference my friends gave me. Long story short, the food was good, the service was a bit slow because we waited long for everything from drinks to appetizers and the welcoming hospitality was less than acceptable.

The food and service was very good. There's no reason to change anything there, but the ambience and appearance was confusing. The lighting was just weird the dining room didn't have a theme to the restaurant at all. The outside appearance of the restaurant looked beat up and needs a facelift. It was a Friday night and their lights were on. There was no table light, or perhaps a centerpiece of any sort kind of felt like I was in a cafeteria. If they could work on these few ambience areas, I think the restaurant would do much better They got the food and the service figured out, and the prices were very reasonable

It was okay. I don't mind expensive but not for the food they serve small portions and it was just meh for the price. They also would not let us sit at a booth when one was available and it was empty the whole night. Had to sit next to another couple. no conversation privacy.

My friend Mike and I were tasked by our wives to find a "L.I. Restaurant Week" place to have dinner together. After searching through the menus, we decided that Thom Thom's, a place we had enjoyed previously, provided a good selection, all from their regular menu. We wound up finding a parking spot in front of their building (there is a municipal lot nearby if you are not so lucky). We were seated immediately at a quiet table near the sushi chef and bar. Our server/bartender/ law school student was most pleasant and helpful as she poured "Whiskey Old Fashions" for our spouses which they both enjoyed. For dinner, I had what Mike had, which was Kung Pao Calamari, nicely fried with a not too spicy peanut sauce and a grilled to a medium rare, as ordered, marinated very tender delicious skirt steak. My wife ordered the chef's special sushi roll appetizer, which was excellent and was enough to make it a meal in itself. For her entrée she chose a nicely baked salmon. Mike's wife had a fresh salad and a wonderful roasted chicken. We usually try to limit having any dessert, but with restaurant week, it is almost always part of the deal, (I wish some of these special menus would provide a choice of perhaps a salad or soup instead of dessert). Anyway, the Molten Lave Cake was great and the Warm Apple Crisp one of the best desserts I have ever had. Thom Thom is a super place to dine, whether for restaurant week or just to eat on any occasion.

I had a reservation for 7:45 through Open Table. Got there 10 minutes early to check in and there was a line. Speaking to other parties waiting, they also had reservations earlier than mine and had been waiting for 30 minutes. Finally we got seated after 40 minutes and then waited another 30 minutes for our appetizers which were cold. I had been here 1 other time and the food was much better than this experience. Will not go back. The entire staff appeared to be frazzled. Long wait times + mediocre food at best. Not worth it...

Visited during Restaurant Week. Menu was prix fixe, 3 course meal that offered excellent options at a great value. However, the restaurant was super busy and inadequately staffed. There were long waits for service and delivery of food, drinks and check. In all fairness, the wait staff was diligent and worked hard—there just were not enough of them! I would recommend Thom Thom for delicious food and suggest a week night visit!
