The food was absolutely fantastic. I could not have eaten better that evening if I could think about it twice; where I would have wanted to go for dinner. I thought that the outside was nice and freshened up, considering that the hotel was rundown on the inside; however we were thrilled to have a pleasant stay. I enjoyed two glasses of chianti on top of my meal (surf & turf), and the waiter left an extra drip of wine in the serving glass at the table for me after my second order of wine, which was really generous of him. The fried zucchini was delicious as well and came with a really interesting tasting dipping sauce that looked like thousand island; far from it though, it was really great. Thank you so much.

Our reservation was for 6:30 and we were seated promptly. Our table was probably not the best location, as we were positioned next to a pole, but that was not an issue. Our server Raul was a classic waiter, very attentive without being intrusive. Anything we asked for was brought to us immediately. (I would definitely ask for him next time!) Of course, the food was the star of the parade. One dish was better than the next. For appetizers, we shared the burrata salad and the grilled octopus. Both dishes were outstanding! Time was given before the entrees were brought out; I really like that! For the entrees we had lobster ravioli, which had a lot of lobster in them, the halibut, which was cooked perfectly and the spinach fettuccine which was super tasty and enjoyable accompanied by a good amount of shelled fish. We shared a bottle of the Vermentino which enhanced our meals well. (Also the price of their wine was extremely fair.) We opted for no dessert since we were full. Raul then asked us if we would like an after dinner digestive ( which was on the house) and we all opted for sambuca, which was a pleasant surprise. All in all, we loved the experience and are MOST definitely looking forward to returning!

Always a great meal. Tony our waiter is so fun and attentive. Tom the owner is a real gentleman... Anna the hostess is a sweetheart and Koka at the bar is wonderful.

So we had a large table and many enjoyed the food. But the pork chop was tough and the broccoli rabe was undercooked. The place desperately needs to be remodeled. The service needs to be improved. Don’t ever reach across a guest at a round table.

I have been here a few times but this time I don't know what was happening. The noise level was off the charts last Saturday that we had to yell to talk to each other. Even the waiter had a hard time listening. We had brought a couple with us to dine and I always raved about it. We haven't seen our friends in 6 months and all I kept doing was apologizing that it was very difficult to carry a conversation. The waiter did the best he could. I was watching how he couldn't get to the other side of the bar with his drinks as people was just up dancing which is fine but we don't need to to hear yelling. For the waiter he just passed it over to someone on the other side. My dinner was cold we waited for drinks for awhile. I'm hoping next time isn't as crazy and loud.

Delicious food that is prepared just the way you like it. They have daily specials and an excellent menu. Prices are reasonable.

The food was delicious and the waiter was very attentive. Even though crowded the noise level was moderate being able to talk without raising your voice. Enjoyed an after dinner aperitif on the house. Definitely a favorite of ours!

Toto's in Wantagh is an absolute standout, an Italian steakhouse that truly embodies old-world charm while delivering a dining experience that's nothing short of fantastic. I've been fortunate enough to visit twice in the past month, and each time has solidified its place as a new favorite. We're now regulars, and for good reason! From the moment you walk in, you feel the inviting ambiance. The service is impeccable – attentive without being overbearing. What truly sets Toto's apart, though, is the personal touch from the owner Tom, who makes it a point to stop by the table multiple times, genuinely ensuring everything is perfect. It's that level of care that transforms a meal into an experience. Now, let's talk about the food. The steaks are, without a doubt, the stars of the show. Dry-aged for 28 days, they arrive perfectly seasoned and served on a plate with butter, adding an extra layer of richness. I've indulged in both the porterhouse for two and the ribeye, and both were cooked to absolute perfection. The side dishes are equally impressive. The asparagus is deliciously crispy, and the creamed spinach is a classic done right. But you must try the Brussels sprouts – they are incredible: crispy, sweet, and perfectly salty. The mashed potatoes are good, and their house steak sauce is a solid complement. And for dessert? The tiramisu is a must-have – a perfect end to a magnificent meal. Be sure to explore their drink menu too; the espresso martinis are a delightful pick-me-up, and the smoked old fashioneds are a unique and memorable treat. Toto's isn't just a meal; it's an experience. If you're looking for an unforgettable Italian steakhouse with an old-world feel, incredible food, and service that makes you feel like family, look no further. Highly, highly recommended!
