i LOVED this place. the restaurant is small but enough seating and very cute. the woman there was so so sweet. we celebrated my brothers birthday and she sent us home with free dessert. SO sweet. service was great and fast and the food was OUTSTANDING. i got the birria tacos and they did not disappoint. the guacamole was so fresh i couldn't stop eating it. i definitely recommend this place. the prices are good, the service was fast. a great spot to grab a quick lunch or really any meal. will be back!

This is my favorite Mexican Taqueria in the region- if there is one meal I always want and crave it is their Birria De Res Tacos- it is so good— stewed beef with tortillas crisped with Chili Oil- once you start eating it nothing else exists! Villa Picante stands with the respected taquerias in San Diego- our family did a taco crawl there last summer —when we returned it was a reminder this place holds in the ranks with the best tacos! We are so lucky to have this place in our community- make sure you try their food- everything I have tried is delicious!

With so many Mexican restaurants locally there is a lot of competition. If Birria tacos are on the menu that is always a go to for me. These guys offer them in beef, chicken and shrimp versions and they are fantastic! Great consomme (lot of places have very oily versions), large portion with 4 tacos and everything very fresh and delicious! Will keep coming back!

Yo, the tacos and burritos here? No complaints… fire. Always seasoned right, fresh, and mad satisfying when it’s done right.

But ordering from here? It’s like a guessing game. Every time I order a torta, they either call last-minute saying they don’t got it, or they slide a burrito in the bag like I won’t notice the swap.

Then I pay for extra guac, sour cream, cheese, none of it shows up. And forget about my Jarritos!! I’ve seen Bigfoot more than I’ve seen that drink delivered.

I’m paying full price but getting half the story. It’s like ordering from a magician!! now you see it, now you don’t.

Great food, but y’all gotta stop treating delivery like a disappearing act. I came to eat, not get finessed.

The food here is incredible!! This is our New Mexican place. Hands down the best burritos I’ve ever had. We’ve dined in once and gotten take out 3 times and I can’t wait to keep going back! Great service and the absolute best Mexican food I’ve ever had. My favorite so far is the Birria burrito. The empanadas are sooo good.

The best corn tortillas ever!!! Made my grandma proud!!!! So delicious shrimp tacos and shrimp empanadas!! And Ivan was super hospitable to everyone in the restaurant!!

Small business. The waiter multitasks a lot.
Be aware of what you order at this restaurant. The BBQ wings were over killed with BBQ sauce after deep fried. I couldn't finish my dinner or drinks.
The ice machine needs cleaning, there are small particles floating in my drink.

Absolutely delicious! A must try.

This review is for VP's Poughkeepsie Galleria location, since I didn't want to overwrite my previous post there. I was actually in the mood for pizza, but I couldn't pass up the daily special of flautas! I got them w/ steak, perfectly paired w/ rice & beans.

Did not expect such a positive surprise from a random walk-in. We found the place while in the area and decided to give a try given all the good reviews. Did not disappoint! I especially loved the seafood soup, shrimp tacos, guacamole and the flan! Will definitely be back!
