Great bakery with delicious coffee!
As a French person for me it’s the Best bread & pastry’s in the Hamptons by far - Armin & Judy the best people - also very good wine selection
**Terrible Experience at Armin and Judy Bakery – Avoid at All Costs!**
I had an absolutely awful experience at Armin and Judy Bakery and will never be returning. First, the pastries were a complete disappointment. The regular croissant was stale and tasted like it had been sitting out for days—no flakiness, just dry and sad. And don’t even get me started on the chocolate croissant. Where was the chocolate? It had a pathetic smear inside, barely enough to taste. For the prices they charge, this is downright unacceptable.
To make matters worse, the two baristas working were impossible to understand. I had to ask them to repeat my order three times, and instead of being patient or helpful, they gave me major attitude like *I* was the problem. Rude and unprofessional—customers shouldn’t have to deal with that kind of service.
Overpriced, low-quality pastries and terrible customer service. Save your money and go somewhere that actually cares about their food and customers. **Zero stars.**
Incredible pastries!! Cute atmosphere. Dog friendly.
probably the best baguette on the south fork, and very good cibatta, but the pricing on a muffin (8 dollars) and a loaf of sourdough (12 dollars) is exorbitant and indicative of a gouging view of their customers. often out of what you want. cookies good, but again ridiculously priced at 5 dollars. would love to try one of their cakes made to order, but at over 70 dollars i will go to tates where the cakes are outstanding already, or carissa. get real on your pricing, please. creates a real cloud of greed

Every dietary request was assured then completely ignored. Waited over 25 minutes for someone to come to our table. Another 45 minutes for dessert and once set down came with no spoons. Waiter acknowledge this and continued with other tables. In general the staff was poorly trained and completely not supervised. Really a very tortuous 2 hour prix fix disaster.

I have always enjoyed this restaurant. They are offering a great deal for a weekend in September in the Hamptons. $45 3 course prix fix. Excellent choices on the menu and every weekend the menu changes. Our food was delicious. Good portion sizes. The Apple Tart Tatin was excellent. And as an added bonus, they gave us a baguette when we left. The restaurant was full. I wish more restaurants would offer great deals like this, especially on the weekends. I hope Armin and Judy continue their weekend prix fix throughout the winter.
My wife and I have been going to Armin & Judy's since it opened a few years ago. It has been consistently excellent in every way. We have never had an "off night" there. Last night for dinner there was the same: perfect.
We had stopped going to this restaurant as the menu had never changed. We were happy when we received the new prix fixed menu. We were happy to be back. The selections were interesting. The food was fabulous. We always enjoy the atmosphere. We will be back!

Armin and Judy is an iconic piece of the Hamptons food scene. Have eaten here more than once over the years, and did again 2 days ago. It’s a relaxed place to visit with simple decoration, nice bar, and it attempts to emulate the simple French bistro menu. Behind the restaurant is a bakery, offering various breads including baguette and olive boule, viennoiseries (croissants, pain au chocolat, etc), and sundry specialty items such as olive from unassuming places, such as Albania.
There is a lovely outdoor seating area surrounded by beautiful nature, mainly trees and a pond. A chicken coop of beautiful hens resembling Rhoda Island Reds and a separate coop for what appear to be Chinese cockerels, is nearby, and nice for children to see.
The pastries miss the mark for me, but worth a try for others. I prefer my Viennese items butterier, flakier and less chewy.
On the main menu is an AWESOME tuna and olive salad, containing giant beans, capers, sun dried tomatoes and the perfect taste of Mediterranean goodness for a summer day (or any day!)
Keep in mind the Hamptons is not a cheap place to eat, but I’d say the value at Armin and Judy is slightly under par for portions to pricing. I ordered quiche, which came with a side salad, for over $20. I was expecting “a quiche.” What I got was a slice of quiche…
Go check it out. It’s definitely a good place, sure to provide something to everyone in your party’s fancy.

Went twice to bakery this week and both times they were out of most items.

Our table of 4 each had crudo as a starter, and tried the squash hummus which was delish, delightfully served with radicchio and endive to scoop it up with (but beware the crunchy chickpeas that were more pebble-like) we all devoured our entrees: scallops, pistachio pasta, lamb and shrimp pasta. Armin and Judy are one of the top two bread bakers on the east end, so don't deprive yourself of the sliced baguette that comes to the table!
Used to be MUCH better. Too many things to mention. I'll leave it at that.

Armin and Judy has a nice atmosphere and good food (the fried chicken is incredible) but the service is very strange. The restaurant was less than half filled but they rushed so fast like they needed to turn the table. Maybe they thought we were in a hurry? But it was a Friday night. We ordered dessert to try to stretch it a bit and the dessert literally came to the table within two minutes. It was like they had it hidden behind the bar. This feels very fixable which is why I'm sharing it. We're grateful for A&J in the Hamptons--there's very little that is both good and not obnoxious--but both times we've been this summer, it feels like they're trying to get us out as quickly as possible which isn't fun.
