Every time I’ve ordered food from here it’s been great, consistently good each time. Everything is always full of flavor, the portions are generous and the prices are great too! The restaurant is always clean and everyone is friendly. If you’re looking for a good Chinese takeout spot out east I recommend No. 1 Chinese

The only reason I would ever return is to throw this disgusting food in their faces.bland cheap and entirely poorly prepared.worst Chinese food I've had in a long time.general tso's chicken was so burned I couldn't eat it. The breading was burned and the chicken was overcooked to the point of resembling freezer burn. All in all it resembled an Egyptian bread sarcophagus surrounding the shriveled remains of what was at one point mummified chicken, I'm serious, it was so burned letting it sit in the evil red sauce for 20 minutes didn't soften the gravel masquerading as chicken I was served. 0/10and somehow while overcooking the most common Americanized Chinese food item they simultaneously undercooked the wonton soup and undercooked the dumplings..wontons were gummy like they weren't boiled, like they came out of a freezer and went into lukewarm mop water with scallions which is the only way I can describe their soup broth.unfortunately one is the lowest rating I can give otherwise this would be a review of zerosit wasn't busy but they were running around out of control in the kitchen. someone waiting to order for 15 minutes asked if I knew how to order and I said "good question, Ive been waiting for almost 30 minutes for my food, you're better off ordering online apparently"

I was very excited to get Chinese from here. It's one of the more economical spots to go to in the Hamptons area. The pricing is great and the service was fast. I got there as soon as they had opened. It's pretty much your run of the mill Chinese place. The space was very clean which is nice and you get a great view of the kitchen behind the plexiglass wall. I ordered the chicken wings with pork fried rice is has become my standard whenever trying new Chinese places. My rule of thumb is if the chicken wings with fried rice is good then the rest of the food is good. Well I had hyped this place a lot in my head, which was ultimately my downfall. The food wasn't horrible, but it definitely wasn't something that made me feel like this was the Number 1 Chinese place here. Maybe it was too early to get food there but the food was seriously lacking in flavor and seasoning. The wings were so dry and mangled and the fried rice was okay but not okay enough to make up for the wings. Taking everything in consideration I feel like 3/5 is a fair enough rating. Not sure if I'll come back, but when I do I'll be sure to update my review.

Not fantastic but better than most Chinese food on the east end

First time at No.1 and it is by far the BEST Chinese takeout I've had in the Hamptons - I've been to the one in East Hampton, Wainscott, Sag Harbor, 2 in Southampton but THIS is finally it. The Chicken & Broccoli was great and plentiful. Other places, the chicken isn't cooked well/feels slimey. Lots of chicken and cooked properly here. The egg roll was really fat and filled. Very nice! Also got the cashew chicken. Had to laugh because normally I can count the scant cashews, but here I could count the chicken. It was in there but much was diced same as veggies so it gets lost. Finally a good place out here! Only had to wait 10 mins and they take credit cards

Good local Chinese takeout place, with careful COVID precautions. Parking on street a little challenging. Possible to order by phone and pick up, not sure they deliver.

Great food. Reasonable prices. Fast service. Try the hot and sour soup the bbq ribs and general Taos chicken.
