Absolutely, hands down one of the best spots I have ever been to! The duck was soooo tender and full of flavor! The apple and cranberry with it made the dish an explosion of flavor. I am completely impressed with the whole experience here. 100% recommended and will be back.

Our first visit to Le Quai was within weeks of opening. Absolutely fabulous. Hard to believe since then they've polished this gem so it shines even brighter. Example - an extensive and exceptional wine list. Since losing Provence, Chez Nous and other French restaurants this is the finest French prepared recipes we've had since Paris. I could go on and on but my recommendation is go, meet Robert and enjoy great atmosphere, conversation and of course a true French Bistro dining experience.

We've been here many times since this restaurant opened. Never have we been dissatisfied by the quality of the French dishes, service or atmosphere. It is nice to visit a restaurant where the food is freshly prepared and you are not rushed. Like European experiences you have time to enjoy the meal and spend quality time in dinner conversation. Each course is prepared with perfection and care.

Very nice experience. Menu is smallish but I could have ordered 4 things without reservation. Speaking of which, book ahead. Wine list was comprehensive. My scallops were perfect. The Moroccan chicken was delicious. Cozy. The owner and our server were very attentive. Adding this place to our rotation.

Excellent food, service and ambiance. The escargot in puff pastry with mushrooms cream sauce is the best, the soup and the scallops are fantastic. The chicken tagine with lemon had too much zest and tasted soapy to me but was beautiful. The duck was delicious and well balanced. The wine list is good and the staff is knowledgeable. The desserts are fantastic: crem Brule and pear tart are fantastic.

We went to Le Quai this past Sunday for my husband's birthday. The staff was warm and gracious and very attentive. We were given advice on choices and the appropriate wines. We started with soupe de champignon and the pâté which were delicious followed by coquille st Jacques and the duck. Both were flavorable as well as their accompaniments. It would have been perfect except for a very annoying patron sitting next to us who proceeded to complain from the moment she arrived until she left. I truly felt sorry for the staff who patiently dealt with her.

Omg this place is amazing. The owner is so humble! He seated and had us taste a fabulous French wine. PHENOMENAL. The food...**chefs kiss** I got the lamb and it was so tender! Falling off the bone! Perfectly marinated. It came with veggies. Everything was Devine. My husband got the chicken. So savory. Seasoned to Perfection. The staff was timely and kind. Very professional. It was a great experience. A hidden gem. I will be bringing all of my girlfriends here. ?

Imaginative food, nicely presented. Pleasant ambiance, although a little loud. Great wine list.

The cutest little French bistro in Waterford. FYI: Pronounced, "Le Key" which is far off from my original assumed pronunciation. To say I loved this experience would be an understatement. This menu is beyond unique for this area. You can't find escargot and foie gras on any other menus nearby. I came for some unique eats and classic French preparations and they absolutely nail it here. If you are an adventurous foodie, this place is a must. We started with a bottle of white wine, they have an extensive wine list with bottles at a variety of price points. Some super fresh bread and French butter were brought to enjoy while we reviewed the menu. For some starters, we went with two small plates to share. To my delight, they had one serving left in house of the Foie Gras. We also ordered the escargot. The foie gras was seared and as expected, delicious, indulgent, savory. The accoutrements were a perfect pairing with sweet jam of orange and quince, crispy bread points and a Madeira sauce. I savored every drop. The escargot was uniquely prepared. The snail meat was packaged up in phyllo dough and served over a beautiful bed of mushrooms in a cream sauce. Another delicious, scrape the plate preparation. Everything served was above and beyond expectations. We then decided to share two entrees, splitting the Duck Confit and the Scallops. The duck was a generous portion of two legs over veggies in a beautiful sauce. The skin on the duck was everything you could hope and dream of, the meat was fall apart tender. The veggies were perfectly cooked and some surprises in there such as parsnips were a nice change from what I am used to. The sauce was deeply flavored and delicious spooned over everything. The scallop dish was a star, the scallops were perfectly cooked and the champagne cream sauce was luxurious. The potato hash was far better than it looked, excellent seasoning and texture to compliment the scallops. Everything added up to a perfect meal. Service was great throughout the night. They were very accommodating and encouraging of us sharing plates and trying a few things. Water glasses and wine glasses were constantly filled. Felt like a fine dining experience in a casual atmosphere. Prices were fair for the offering. A bottle of wine, two starters and two entree was about $170 before tip. Highly recommend giving them a try!

The one time in the past year that we have been able to have a child free date night, we chose here, and couldn’t have been happier. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and charming. I wasn’t expecting someone to be formally trained on how to pour wine down to the tiny details in the middle of Waterford, New York, but here she was. It’s been too long since I’ve had a proper French meal, and they did not disappoint. The food was exquisite. When the next opportunity presents itself, I’ll be stopping in again.

Food was average. Not a great value for money but acceptable. Vegetables were overcooked and uninspiring, but the steak was good and cooked to my liking. Soup was ok. Dessert was very good...the pavlova. The main reason for the rating was the service was very slow. Not the server's fault l think. They would have better served their customers by limiting reservations and serving later into the evening rather than having everyone come at once and wait. And wait. It took 2 3/4 hours for a three course meal. The restaurant was well decorated and comfortable. I wouldn't be willing to wait that long again for an ok meal. Darn, l really wanted it to be fabulous.
