We had a funeral June 28 2025 in Waterford and the day before the family decided on having a luncheon after the services. We didn’t think we would find a place and on Graduation weekend made the odds more against it, My husband Tom and Brother in Law Keith stopped in McGrieveys and Terry said he could accommodate us. ( even though we didn’t know how many people.). Terry went above and beyond taking orders, bartending, and bringing out the food. We Thank you Terry and McGrieveys staff for accommodating us on such short notice and a difficult day for our family.

Worst fish & chips I have ever seen or tasted. Maybe it was because it was a Monday night, because I see photos of others and they look so much better. I couldn't believe my eyes. I opened the box and there were three long strips of fish. The largest was 3/4 of an inch in diameter! Oh and they threw in the end of one tiny piece. I have never seen anything so ridiculous. If you don't have the fish, please call back and tell me and I will change my order! The skinny fries were also soggy. I opened both boxes in the car, so it wasn't because of the ride home. $20 for crispified skinny fish sticks and soggy fries! I have had good food here before, but this was a major fail and disappointment.

I went for my Birthday the other night and they were able to accommodate my last minute reservation. Though the only menu was for St. Patrick’s week, we all found something of our liking. The food was fabulous, and the staff was great! Definitely recommend for a nice night out or to celebrate something special!

St. Patrick’s menu offerings were outstanding. Mussels and lemon, garlic, wine sauce, potato skins, seafood chowder, not always on the regular menu, so of course we took advantage of them all and nothing short of delicious!
Bangers& mash, corned beef dinner, chicken pot pie, All were delicious, plentiful & devoured. Bartenders were attentive and served awesome spirits timely.
Chocolate stout pie was delicious too!!

McGreivey's is a hidden gem, my goodness, everything was fresh, divine, and mouth watering. Their kitchen cooks 90% of the food from scratch. I ate my dinner there around 3-4pm on a Saturday, dining room not busy, servers were very nice and down to Earth and don't check on you too often, as to let you enjoy your meal, they are good with the refills. I will definitely be going here more often, going forward. Outstanding. (Pictured is French onion soup, hearty, rich, crunchy topping, Perfect, 2nd sirloin steak salad with balsamic dressing, steak tasted fresh off the grill, all the flavors marry well in this salad, 3rd was the Irish soda bread bread pudding accompanied by vanilla ice cream and drizzle of caramel.... Safe to say I finished every last morsel)

Once again the staff of Mcgreivey's came thru with flying colors. On short notice, they walked me through what I needed to fit our needs for our funeral reception. We were a bit late today and was assured everything was fine and it was. The food and presentation was outstanding and the staff was super. On behalf of myself and family, we thank you for a very stress free afternoon when we needed that the most. Kudos to you all!

We ordered Thanksgiving dinner for the first time and were amazed by the quantity and quality of the food. Everything was hot and fresh; even our pickiest eater ate the most delicious green beans! We were so impressed I called Terry to tell him what a great job his team had done. Five stars!!

After a long hike and kayak situation today we got hungry!! The endless scroll though Google suggested this place. When I walked in I wasn't over the moon about the look however, it was clean and quiet for a nice lunch meal. Our server and bartender Ryan was excellent, checking on us frequently and suggesting sauces for dipping (your boy loves to dip).
We started with legit calamari with the tentis (tentacles) like I love!! Sauteed after in spicy peppers and garlic it was delicious, great way to start the experience. I then had the classic burger with bacon and sauteed onions as well as the house cut fries, they were delicious. The second meal was the crispy eggplant sandwich served on a nice brioche roll!!
Everything including the drinks were delicious, these service was great and I find myself wanting to hike just so I have an excuse to eat here!
You won't be sorry.. a great spot with great food!!
