Both the sweet & sour chicken and crab ragoons were overcooked. We couldn't even eat the chicken it was so hard. I called but they wouldn't bring a replacement. As we had it delivered. I live in Waterford and gave them several chances with prior bad orders but now done!
Where to begin with my beloved sunrise restaurant? I literally grew up across the street and on their cuisine. I’ve spent a small fortune eating here and have never regretted it. As a kid I’d sometimes scrounge up a buck just to buy an egg roll. They knew my order by heart and would ask if I’d get the usual when I called. As I’ve gotten older, I can’t eat at other Chinese restaurants; they simply can’t hold a candle to sunrise. My family agrees, this is the best Chinese food in the capital region (maybe the US!). From perfect fried rice, to crab Rangoon, general tso, bbq spare ribs, beef teriyaki, and their legendary egg rolls you can’t go wrong!

Oreldered 66.00dollars in food called b.c we ordered beef low mein got shrimp.low mein..when driver came back,he cursed at my minor daughter...and told her he wasn't coming back again for 3 cents..ignorant and rude service never will order again...

We stopped at Sun Rise during the Tugboat Round-up after reading good reviews. All we had was a pint of roast pork chow mein, rice and an egg roll. Based on that, we'll go back again. I asked for the chow mein to be made with mushrooms and the pork sliced into matchsticks. It was made as requested and delicious. Brown sauce was excellent. And husband said it was the best egg roll he had ever had. VERY happy with our picnic while watching the boats.

Oh gosh, where to begin? We were there on a Saturday and I was hungry. So we ordered 4 egg or spring rolls... more about them later. I got beef in onions because it was spicy. Wife got something else. Our cooked meals were typical Americanized Chinese food. The rolls... were very old and tasted freezer burned. They were the typical kind that look the same everywhere. The coating on the outside tasted worse than cardboard. We tried but could not eat them We even tried scraping out the filling to eat separately. Awful. And, while waiting for our order I casually looked around. The lighting fixtures in the kitchen were so dirty that the light output was reduced by 50% or more. Leads me to wonder if they ever cleaned....anywhere! We will not darken their doorstep again.

We were systematically trying all the local Chinese restaurants until we got to this one. Not as close as we'd like and we seldom will go by it but worth the drive or delivery charge

Ordered lunch combo, no soda delivered as was supposed to be. I cane down three flights of stairs to get the order, delivery girl was too lazy to walk up sidewalk to the door, expected me to go to her car. Very unfriendly too! The hot and spicy shrimp was anything but hot or spicy. Shrimp was tough and chewy yuck. Never again!
