⭐ 1 Star – Empire Square: Where Dog Bowls Go to Die
If you’re in Watertown and craving disappointment served in a dog bowl, look no further than Empire Square. I came in while waiting on car repairs, with a modest $8 appetizer budget in mind. The host cheerfully upsold me on their “Sunday Brunch Special” – $15 for any breakfast or lunch item with bottomless mimosas. Sounds good, right? Wrong.
I ordered nachos with pulled pork and what I got looked like it had been...
I can't believe walked by this place once without going in - I'm glad I circled back. Ordered the breakfast burger: huge slabs of bacon on a toasted kaiser roll (interesting choice). The owners really took pride in the atmosphere of the place and made it feel like I was back in Kentucky. Along with the southern hospitality, this is a good place to come alone or with friends.
