I give all 5 stars on the service, food and atmosphere. My main 3 stars is because I don’t understand why this restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Ever since Covid the non corporate and local owned restaurants are not open 7 days a week. I can understand Sundays but weekdays is disappointing.

The Fairground Inn has been a local favorite of mine since I was a teenager. This is a very popular well run restaurant with a dining room and bar area. They have a nice well rounded menu from Italian classics, pizza, sandwiches, burgers, fajitas, steak, chicken and fish. The staff are very knowledgeable and attentive. Don't let the number cars scare you away. Even though they are busy they are located alongside some of great restaurants like Coleman's Corner and Craft836 staff can usually get you and your party seated pretty quickly.

Just had the Barracks Inn salad with chicken and house dressing. It was delicious and so fresh. The lettuce obviously didn’t come out of a bag! Highly recommend!

This place is very nice. Very friendly staff welcomes you like family. The food is phenomenal and reasonably priced too. Lots of choices for any dietary need. Great choices for bar drinks. Clean and orderly dining room. Have dined here for many years and will definitely return.Vegetarian options: They have sandwiches, salad, pasta, burger, dessert, pizza and many more choices to choose from. Will work with you to accommodate your needs.

Good food and service. Nice atmosphere, especially in the older section of the restaurant. Went there on a recent Thursday evening. The prime rib and the Fairground Inn chicken (pictured) were both very good. The only negative was service felt a little rushed, so maybe not the best place if you like to take your time with dinner.

I find it disturbing that you order food and you tell them you are allergic to shell fish and they tell you what you want is cooked in the same grease as the shell fish what is wrong with the restaurants in Watertown are your that far removed from people with allergies I'll never come back to your business your

I have been to The Fairgrounds many, many times. Going back to about 1987. Great atmosphere, kind, helpful, speedy, respectful staff, and very reasonable pricing. Love the fajitas, broiled fish, Mac and cheese. Lots of great dishes for all types of appetites. There are times I have had to wait a short period, but I do not recall an unreasonable wait They will also prepare meals for take out. One of my overall favorites. I am handicapped, but easily able to gain access.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and the food was excellent. Our waitress was attentive, but perhaps a little too quick in clearing the table - felt like we needed to hurry for her sake.The Veal Parmigiano and the Manicotti were both delicious! The Mozzarella Sticks were also exceptional, as appetizers.The Children's menu was a little light - no child sized hamburger, for example.But the regular menu hamburgers were very good!Overall, I highly recommend the Fairground Inn with its excellent food and historic atmosphere.

Probably the best date I've ever been on and I have to say a lot of it had to do with how easy it was to relax in the environment provided. What a great place to bond, whether it's with family, friends or even just to treat yourself to a nice meal and a drink and meet the staff!Our server Kayla was so kind and very thorough. She practically read my mind when it came to the menu and gave such a great energy to the whole experience. Thank you so much - the quality of the food was out of this world!

My husband and I had a last minute date night here and overall we enjoyed our meal here. I ordered the Bleu Burger and he ordered a pizza. I was really impressed with the way my burger looked and with how much cheese they put on it. I ordered it medium and I would say that it did come out somewhere between medium rare and medium. The patty itself could have used some extra seasoning but after adding a little salt it was great. I upgraded my side of chips to onion rings. They were very thick and while they were cooked well they were not very flavorful and needed a hit of salt when they got out of the fryer in my opinion. My husbands pizza looked amazing and tasted amazing with a little Parmesan and red pepper flakes on it. When we come back (and we definitely will) it’s gonna be for pizza!The pricing wasn’t bad at all and the restaurant itself is in a great location. The booths are very cozy and the music playing was a bit loud but it was fun to listen to a bunch of music that came out while we were in high school. Christmas decorations were still up on the ceiling but I don’t fault any restaurant for that until February.Our server was extremely nice and attentive. She never let our drinks go below 1/3 full and she checked in on us regularly to see if we needed anything.I wouldn’t say this is a place I would come back to on a date but it is definitely a spot for us to bring the kids for some pizza.

Went with my family for the first time yesterday, and we loved it. The food was tasty and the server we had was attentive and understanding- we have a wiggly toddler, she was brought out his food first. We will definitely be coming back. :)
