We ordered the bandeja paisa and the ropa vieja woth tamarind juice. The food was delicious, absolutely to die for. The food was super authentic and tasted very fresh. The service was excellent, and our waiter made sure we had everything we needed. I will definitely be back! I recommend this to anyone in the area and even further!

Never been here before today, but sadly I'm about to leave state, cause I'd definitely go here more often if I'd have known about it sooner. 11/10 for the food. I couldn't eat it all, and that's saying a lot for me. Definitely a good spot to bring a date, just make sure to starve yourself the night before. Lol
But seriously, worth the money and worth the trip.

The tres leches smelled and tasted like fish oil. It was spoiled. I didn’t realize until I took the first bite at home, and it was horrible. At least there hasn’t been any food poisoning so far. Customer service was also poor. The lady working there was on the phone, talking loudly to her family, and just paused to point at the food, then asked me to sign and kept talking loudly on the phone about something. As for the pupusas I ordered, I asked for chicharrón and got cheese; they were very oily. The empanadas were okay—too greasy—but the best dish of a very disappointing experience. Not worth the $50 for the three items.

Mix 21 has an amazing menu. We ordered a variety so we could share. EVERYTHING is fresh and so well seasoned. The flavor is.. well I was halfway through my meal, and was wishing I could rewind, and start the meal over again.
I can't wait to come back and do it all again.

On my most recent trip to Watertown, I was pleasantly surprised to discover Mix 21 Traditional Restaurant, an authentic Latin restaurant that immediately stood out in an area that doesn’t usually offer many options like this. I travel to Watertown fairly often from Canada, and finding a place that brings true Latin flavors to the table felt like stumbling upon a hidden treasure.

From the moment I walked in, I could tell this restaurant was doing something right. The ambience was warm, vibrant, and inviting—simple but full of personality. You can feel the owners’ cultural roots reflected not just in the décor but in the pride they put into the food and service. It’s the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to sit down, relax, and enjoy a proper meal.

The food itself was genuinely impressive. Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and true to the flavors you expect from traditional Latin cuisine. You can tell immediately that the people in the kitchen know what they’re doing. Dishes were generous without being overwhelming, and each plate felt like it was prepared with care. For anyone who misses the taste of home or wants to experience authentic cooking beyond the typical chain restaurants, Mix 21 delivers.

Another major plus is the pricing. In a time when eating out is becoming more and more expensive, finding a restaurant that offers excellent food at very reasonable prices is refreshing. Mix 21 manages to strike that balance between quality and affordability, which is something many restaurants struggle with.

What impressed me most, though, is the sense that the owners truly care—about the food, the customers, and the community. It feels like the beginning of something special, and I sincerely hope this place succeeds and remains open for a long time. Watertown could really use a restaurant like this, and I believe many people, both locals and visitors from Canada, will appreciate what Mix 21 brings to the area.

I enjoyed an amazing late lunch at Mix 21. I started with a spicy margarita as the manager talked me through the different meal options. I pick a couple of different items because I wanted to experience more than just one offering. The serving sizes were large and the food was delicious. The atmosphere was fun, the food was great, and the service was friendly and helpful. Give it a try.
